Princeton–Stanford–MIT Taiwan East Coast Ride 2026

The annual tri-school alumni bicycle trip will take place next year from February 27 to March 1. Join fellow Princeton alumni and alumni from MIT and Stanford for a 3-day cycling adventure. Ride along the beautiful East Coast of Taiwan, take on the Huatung Four Crossings (花東四小橫), pass Chishang (池上) rice fields, and enjoy the stunning coast and valleys of Chenggong (成功鎮) and Ruisui (瑞穗鄉). Expect great scenery, local food, hot springs, and amazing company!

We're excited to announce the winner of the 2025 ALTA First Translation Prize: TAIWAN TRAVELOGUE by Yáng Shuāng-zǐ, translated from Mandarin Chinese by Lin King, edited by Yuka Igarashi, pub. Graywolf Press!

Starting in 2024, the ALTA First Translation Prize recognizes the work of emerging literary translators and their editors. This annual prize is open to all genres, and awards one debut literary translation from any other language into English published in the previous calendar year. This year’s judges are CJ Evans, David M. Smith, and Jiyoon Lee.⠀

This year’s winner was announced at the Awards Ceremony held during ALTA’s 48th annual conference, ALTA48: Visions and Versions, held in Tucson, AZ from November 5-8, 2025.
