嘉南療養院員工消費合作社於民國88年創立後持續促進社員福利之工作：提供各項集購服務、簽署特約廠商、搜集優惠情報、協助社員將自有產品行銷等。 所謂合作社，是指「依平等原則，在互助組織之基礎上，以共同經營方法，謀社員經濟之利益與生活之改善，而其社員人數及股金總額，均可變動之團體」。
