Exploring ‘Inner Listening’ ✨
One of the core practices of Creators of Peace is Inner listening. Our President, Jean Brown, shares her insights and invites us all to become!
“Inner listening can be understood in a variety of ways. It is a practice for connection, correction and direction. For many it is a commitment to listen for God’s guidance and insights. For others it is a practice of deep reflection and connection with Source or Wisdom. Our journey through life, our wellbeing, our choices - they all benefit from clarity about our intention and make our inner listening meaningful. Awareness of what our intention is at any given point requires considerable self-honesty. If our intention in meditating is merely to feel good or look good, we may achieve both and yet miss the greater intention of our lives. If correction is needed, then purity and unselfishness refine motive. With that refreshed intention we seek the wisdom from beyond ego, we humbly recognise the need of the guidance of that universal loving intelligence some call God. If our intention is to serve humanity, to be part of repairing the world, to create peace within and around us, inner listening becomes an essential compass and companion.”
