2016年10月16日本工會（台灣私立學校教育產業工會，簡稱台灣私教工會)於東海大學求真廳成立，在結合來自全國83所私校夥伴發心致力改善目前惡劣私校環境邁向求真之路。
本工會以團結私立學校的所有受僱者，並以保障其權益、改善其勞動條件、維護其 工作尊嚴，並推動私校公共化、自主化及民主化，以健全私校教育、促進學術自由，並追求教育資源分配之公平正義為宗旨。
