台灣消費者協會 行政院消費者保護處公告「社團法人台灣消費者協會」為「全國性消費者保?

1988年3月13日在台中市一群熱心人士積極推動下，成立了「台中市消費者權益促進會」，是繼消基會之後，以推廣消費者教育、增進消費者地位及保障消費者權益為宗旨，第一個在台灣成立的地區性消費者保護團體。
2009年6月27日由「台中市消費者權益促進會」為主體而發起的「台灣消費者協會」正式成立，是以凝聚消費者力量、提升消費者地位、保護消費者權益、推廣消費者教育為宗旨的全國性社團法人消費者保護團體。
