「臺中市音樂教育應用協會」前身為「臺中市音樂發展協會」，曾獲教育部頒發藝術教育貢獻獎。受哈佛大學多元智能藝術教育應用方法啟發，以服務廣大群眾、提供音樂陶冶心靈、鍛鍊智性與美感體驗為宗旨。
