集來社區位於杉林區西北方,北起八張犁與甲仙區為界,南到新庄溪與新庄里為鄰,東則由後山,大貢占山牽起的稜線為邊,與六龜區相依,西面對楠梓仙溪與木梓里對望,地形為鯉魚穴. 人口主要分佈於八張犁,官埔,頂埔,十張犁,火山與新厝等地,是聚落分佈的所在.
集來社區擁山傍田,農耕人口眾多,是典型的山坡地農村社區.
