FITB is aware of recent developments concerning the structure and representation of tchoukball in Hungary.
FITB wishes to clarify that it recognises one National Federation per country, based on governance legitimacy, organisational structure, and compliance with FITB statutes.
At present, the existing Hungarian body (Tchoukball Hungary), an associate member of FITB and an active member of the European Tchoukball Federation (ETBF), remains the sole recognised organisation representing Hungary within the international tchoukball framework.
Any newly formed national federation does not hold recognition from FITB and therefore does not have standing to represent Hungary internationally or to act on behalf of the country within the global tchoukball community.
FITB strongly encourages all stakeholders to work within a unified national structure, contributing through recognised governance processes. Leadership and direction of the National Federation should be determined through proper democratic mechanisms, in accordance with its constitution.
At the same time, FITB emphasises the importance of fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory processes within the recognised National Federation, particularly in relation to the admission and participation of clubs and members.
In the interest of unity and development, European Tchoukball Federation - ETBF with guidance from FITB, may assist in facilitating constructive dialogue among stakeholders.
FITB remains committed to the continued growth of tchoukball in Hungary and encourages all parties to act in good faith, with mutual respect, and in the best interests of the sport and its community.
