Last month, we wrapped up an incredible Global Research Masterclass Series with Prof. Dr. Hiram Ting. For those who couldn't make it, here is a glimpse into the wisdom he shared with our IMTH students and professors:

1️⃣ Persistence is Key: Publishing isn't just about data; it’s a process of innovation. Challenges aren't roadblocks—they are opportunities to learn and create work that truly benefits others.
2️⃣ Solve the "Unseen" Problems: A great researcher sees what others miss. Dr. Hiram taught us that research topics are everywhere, but the real skill is explaining why a problem matters before anyone else even recognizes it.
3️⃣ The Art of Problematization: Focus on novelty, originality, and actionability. By learning to "see the unseen," we can turn neglected details into impactful scientific stories.

The biggest takeaway? Impact. Our goal as researchers is to produce work that carries real-world relevance.

We’re leaving these sessions inspired and ready to turn our ideas into impactful research! 🎓🔥

✏️ IMTH Stories: HOME2TW

At IMTH, we believe that academic excellence must be matched by social responsibility. We are incredibly proud of our student leaders who are spearheading Home to Taiwan (HOME2TW), a Kaohsiung-based movement reimagining the Filipinos migrant experience in Taiwan.

Highlighting our IMTH Students:
⭐️ Strategic Leadership: Conveners Neena Ebron and Rudy Emperado are leading HOME2TW under the banner of International University Social Responsibility (IUSR).
⭐️ Narrative Rebranding: Lucie Kulhánková and Patrick Tayson have launched "The Most Important People" campaign, professionally rebranding migrant workers as essential, high-value talent.
⭐️ Community Mapping: Andrea Hernandez is on the ground in Nanzih, mapping "diasporic spaces"—the community hubs that serve as the heartbeat of the Filipino community.

Through upskilling and resource integration, these students are ensuring that the Filipino migrant is no longer seen as just a guest worker, but as a professional partner in Taiwan’s future.

Proud of our IMTH student-volunteers!
Drop a "👏" to support the HOME2TW team!
