中華民國飛盤協會成立於1988年2月28日，主要任務為推廣我國飛盤運動、舉辦國際性和全國性飛盤運動賽會、培訓各級飛盤運動教練和裁判、選訓我國飛盤運動國家代表隊、協助辦理全民運動會飛盤競賽、參與國際性飛盤事務、建構飛盤運動教學軟硬體等

本會為WFDF世界飛盤總會正式會員，並於2013年11月6日受中華奧林匹克委員會承認
