單車休閒運動風氣近年來日益興盛，路上常見三五成群的車友騎乘運動，本會的會員亦常常假日相約共同騎乘，足跡遍佈新竹縣市的各個角落，為使更多的好友能接觸單車運動，也希望能更有系統更有組織的去推廣單車運動，所以就促成新竹縣奧林匹克運動休閒協會之成立，以落實運動休閒教育，增進親子關係，促進社會邁向精緻文化為宗旨。本會之任務為結合社區資源，積極辦理民眾育樂運動營隊，培養民眾正確運動、休閒活動觀念與習慣，以提昇全民生活品質為目標。
