為符應教育部友善校園的內涵，體現「以愛為核心，讓愛活出來」的教育精神，讓學校輔導機制更加落實，使學生輔導業務的推展更加順利，嘉義市乃於民國100年4月申請成立學生輔導諮商中心，於100學年度正式運作，除了配合三級輔導系統，支援學校提供相關的輔導專業服務外，亦希望透過輔導資源的整合，讓嘉義市輔導網絡更加健全。
