Changemaking is hard work.

It requires creativity, commitment, and community. Collectives also need skills, knowledge and time to rest and reset. We’ve stepped in to give this invaluable community of movers and shakers just what it needs - a day full of learning, camaraderie, inspiration and play.

There’ll be music and Mokos, bubbles and book nooks, conversation and cooking, planting and playing and lots more in store.

Just one more day to go. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Getting started 🤩Informal Art School’s first day of ‘Art Fundamentals and Fashion’ project.

* The Informal Art School recently ran a series of short courses combining the teaching of visual art fundamentals and experimental design applications.
These sessions are suited to art and design practitioners, beginners and art dabblers.

At ARC Co Create we have noticed a ‘Crisis of Imagination’. How best can we, as a collaborative space, stimulate creativity, give people the opportunity to stretch their understanding of the many possibilities we can use to solve large challenges?

The Informal Art School - a collective that is one of the members of our cooperative - provides us with strategies towards answering the question. Imagination is central to their mission.

Come to their display at the this Saturday. DM for more info about the school and their offerings.

On May 9, we’ll be gathering at the IICA compound for a vibrant community event. The Festival of Collectives is a one day immersive gathering hosted by ARC CoCreate in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the Cropper Foundation and other CoCreate Cooperative members such as YAHP Students, LEAF, Grosvenor Horticultural, Learning to Live, Informal Art School & Groundation. Designed as a vibrant convergence of community driven groups, the festival creates space for connection and skill sharing among collectives across Trinidad and Tobago.

Think of it like a community sancoche, where each of us brings our skills, talents, ideas, and networks to the shared pot.

The primary aim of the festival is to strengthen the ecosystem of groups who are passionate about sharing resources and building fairer, more resilient systems in Trinidad & Tobago — systems that better value the labour, care, and lived realities of the people who keep our communities alive. We can’t wait to see you there.

“How Do We Keep the P**p in the Loop?”
Co-Creating Preferred Futures for Sanitation

What would a healthier, more sustainable, and circular sanitation system look like in Trinidad and Tobago—and what would it take to get there?

In this workshop, we move from understanding today’s system to imagining what could replace it. Together, we will envision and co-create possible future sanitation systems that keep nutrients and value in the loop.

This session is about building shared visions: clear mental models of how a circular sanitation system could work socially, technically, and economically.

We will explore:
What system conditions would need to change to make preferred futures possible?
How new models could attract enough value to make old patterns obsolete?
What value could be co-created for all stakeholders—farmers, communities, service providers, regulators, and more.

Come ready to think big, stay practical, and help shape the future.

If you would like to attend the workshop, please send us a message!
