📣Meet the judges and host for the Bocas Tobago Youth Spoken Word Competition!
🙌 Jewel Greene is a strategic communications expert, gender equity advocate, and digital marketing specialist with over a decade of leadership. She is the Chair of the Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) Trinidad and Tobago Chapter and the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Writers Guild.
🙌 Camryn Bruno is a Trinidad and Tobago–based creative, marketing and communications professional, spoken word poet, producer and cultural storyteller. A former NYC Youth Poet Laureate and National Poetry Slam Champion, she has spent over a decade using storytelling to explore Caribbean identity, culture and community.
🙌 Alicia Psyche Haynes is a three-time National Poetry Slam finalist, placing third in 2025, and an award-winning actress and director. She is a Curriculum Officer for Drama and Dance with the Curriculum Planning and Development Unit of the Division of Education, Skills and Innovation in Tobago, and has over 20 years of experience in Drama and Theatre Arts Education.
🙌 Marielle Forbes, our host, is a Cultural Producer and Creative Project Developer with experience in the fields of hospitality, carnival arts production and creative industry support. She is the Youth Programming and Hospitality Manager at The Bocas Lit Fest.

Free and open to all, Bocas Tobago 2026 is the fourth in a series of one-day community literary and cultural festivals across T&T, presented by Methanex Trinidad.
✨️Join us at the Scarborough Library, on Saturday 10 October, for a day of storytelling, spoken word, music and art, readings and discussions, writing workshops and more, for readers and writers of all ages.
✍️Bocas Tobago builds on the regional festivals the Bocas Lit Fest has hosted in the past: Bocas Siparia 2026; Bocas Arima 2026; Bocas Couva 2026; Bocas Central in Chaguanas in 2013; Bocas South in San Fernando in 2013, 2014, 2015 and with Carifesta XIV, SAPA in 2019; and several editions of Bocas Tobago — as well as our longstanding programmes like the Bocas Children’s Storytelling Caravan and school tours that have taken spoken word and other literary arts to secondary schools the length and breadth of the country. We are excited to connect with even more reading and writing communities across T&T.
