The AAPG LACR Committee would like to extend sincere appreciation to all those who contributed to the successful organization of the upcoming AAPG LACR “Ready to Work” Event, themed “Building the Modern Geoscientist: Technical Excellence, Industry Insight, and Field Experience.”

This impactful initiative was made possible through the strong collaboration between the AAPG LACR Committee, Student Chapters (SC), Young Professionals (YPs), and cross-country Young Professionals groups. Special recognition is extended to Samantha Anazco (Caribbean Coordinator) and Liam Ramdin (Caribbean Coordinator) for their outstanding leadership, dedication, and coordination efforts in bringing this event together.

Dr. Hasley Vincent is a Trinidadian petroleum geoscientist and sedimentologist with over 20 years of industry experience. Dr. Vincent holds a BSc in Geology from UWI Mona, an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London, and a PhD in Sedimentology from Dalhousie University.
Moreover, he is the Coordinator of the BSc Petroleum Geoscience Programme at UWI St. Augustine and a consultant with Basins Consulting Ltd. Dr. Vincent specializes in reservoir characterization, basin analysis, and sedimentology, and is a member of AAPG, SEPM, and GSTT. He is well known for his research on Trinidad’s depositional systems and his contributions to geoscience education in the region.

Dr. Hasley Vincent, a leading petroleum geoscientist, will give a technical talk on careers in the oil and gas industry. Drawing on over 20 years of experience, he will share insights to guide and inspire future geoscientists.

A technical talk featuring Dr. Hasley Vincent. 📊🌎

Dr. Hasley Vincent is a Trinidadian petroleum geoscientist and sedimentologist with over 20 years of industry experience. Dr. Vincent holds a BSc in Geology from UWI Mona, an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London, and a PhD in Sedimentology from Dalhousie University.
