Yahweh Foundation Tobago

Yahweh Foundation Tobago Open Mon, Wed, Fri - #27 Signal Hill Connector Road, Signal Hill, Tobago

The Purpose

To bring to life the concept of ‘being our brothers keeper’ by being of service to the vulnerable – enhancing their opportunities to experience and enjoy a sense of family. To encourage the building of inter-generational relationships that are mutually enriching.

There is something incredibly powerful about hearing young women speak their truth out loud.

“I am brave.”
“I am creative.”
“I am kind.”
“I am beautiful.”
“I am honest.”
“I am me”

Not as an affirmation they hope will become true one day.

But as a reminder of who they already are.

This term at Yahweh Foundation has been dedicated to Unapologetically Me.

Not as rebellion.
Not as ego.
Not as becoming louder than everyone else.

But as a journey back to confidence, self-trust, authenticity, and the light that already lives within each of us.

Watching these young women witness and celebrate one another was a reminder that healing often happens in community.

When we feel seen.
When we feel safe.
When we remember our worth.

This is the work.
This is the future.
And it gives us so much hope. ❤️

Mental and emotional wellbeing matters.

One of the most important skills we can learn is how to calm ourselves, regulate our emotions, and find safety within our bodies during life’s challenges.

That is why connection matters.

At Yahweh Foundation, we create spaces where children, young people, elders, and families can feel seen, supported, valued, and connected.

Because every conversation, every smile, every shared experience, and every moment of belonging helps build resilience, hope, and wellbeing.

This Mental Health Month, we celebrate the power of community, connection, and the small moments that help us heal.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate all the women who nurture life in visible and invisible ways 🤍

The mothers.
The grandmothers.
The aunties.
The sisters.
The facilitators.
The women who hold space, guide, protect, teach, nurture, comfort, and love.

Mothering is presence, care, strength, softness, patience, and the ability to keep showing up with love.

Today we honour every woman who has touched lives, created safety, shared wisdom, and reminded others that they belong.

Thank you for all that you give to this community and to the generations growing through your love ✨

Happy Mother’s Day from Yahweh Foundation 🤍

❤️

A new term has begun at Yahweh Foundation 🧡

Different generations.
Each one held in its own way.

💗Children learning how to feel safe in their bodies.

❤️Young women reconnecting to their voice, their emotions, their truth.

💜Elders coming into spaces of connection, presence, and shared joy.

And in between all of this…
moments.

Moments that may seem simple…
a smile, a breath, a conversation, a quiet realization.

But these moments become memories.
And these memories… shape lives.

Because this work is not loud.
It doesn’t force or rush.

It gently supports:
→ mindfulness
→ nervous system regulation
→ emotional resilience
→ a deeper sense of connection and belonging

☀️So a child can grow with more safety inside.
☀️So a young woman can meet herself with more honesty and strength.
☀️So an elder can feel seen, valued, and part of something meaningful.

This is how the future changes.
Not all at once…
but moment by moment 🌿

For a new joy- and meaning-filled term and for many moments to become unforgettable memories ✨✨✨

Today, we don’t just celebrate the Earth…
we remember that we belong to her. 🌍🍃

These moments you see here from the past 10 years 💚
they are more than memories.

They are the way we return.

✨ dancing barefoot in the rainforest
✨ diving into the deep, held by the sea
✨ little hands in the soil, planting life together
✨ laughter echoing through open fields
✨ growing our own food with care and patience
✨ bodies resting, grounding, breathing with the land
✨ climbing trees, feeling strength and freedom
✨ gazing at clouds, remembering how to slow down

In every movement, every touch, every breath…
there is a quiet reconnection.

At Yahweh Foundation, caring for the environment is not a concept.
It is something we live, together.

Through nature, we remember:
we are not separate.
We are part of this living, breathing world.

And when we nurture the Earth…
we nurture ourselves. 🧡

Today, we honor her.
With gratitude.
With presence.
With love.

Happy Earth Day. 🍃✨

Connection makes everything better.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Helen Keller

From our very first breath to the wisdom of a long, lived life, we are shaped by connection.
We are not meant to do life alone.

Connection softens us.
It strengthens us.
It reminds us who we are.

We are, always, stronger together and life gets to be filled with so much joy.

At Yahweh Foundation, we understand that many of our children grow up in environments where real choice isn’t something they’ve been given.
Often, their reactions are shaped long before they learn their own voice.

So here, gently and with patience, we teach them something many of them are experiencing for the very first time:

that they can choose.

Through nervous-system settling, mindful pauses, sharing circles, art, movement ✨ and even simple flexibility practices ✨ they begin to feel what’s happening inside their bodies. And little by little, they discover that there is space between what they feel and how they respond.

And when we ask:

“What do you choose today?”

their answers shine with courage:
calmness, kindness, patience, respect, loyalty, trust, mindfulness, flexibility.

Flexibility not only in their bodies…
but in their hearts, their thinking, their responses.

For many of them, naming these qualities out loud is new.
Realising they have a say in their behaviour is new.
Feeling empowered to choose differently is new.

This is why Yahweh exists;
to give every child a safe space to breathe, explore, soften, stretch, and grow into the light that’s already inside them.

One breath. One choice. One child at a time.
