Designated by the UN in 1993 and celebrated annually around the globe on March 22nd, World Water Day focuses on topics that relate to the importance of freshwater, hygiene and sanitation, clean rivers and environmental protection, aligning to the goal of water sustainability for all!

To commemorate the day and maintain our mandate as champions of our rivers and the environment, Team AARP conducted an early morning clean-up exercise in the Chaguaramas Watershed at Dougla River Blue Basin, Diego Martin on Friday 27th March, 2026.

Check out our team in action as an assortment of garbage comprising plastics, cans and glass recyclables and general waste were collected from the area surrounding the river.

Partner with us to help create healthier rivers and watersheds throughout Trinidad and Tobago!

Remember, It's Our Rivers, Our Watersheds, Our Responsibility!!!
