The Trinidad and Tobago Youth Convention (TTYC) has been accepted as a means of bringing together youths to highlight their achievements and advances, while also acknowledging the many issues and challenges still affecting youths today. It further presents an opportunity to capture youth experiences, which can be useful in shaping youth policies that reflect the realities of young persons living i

n Trinidad and Tobago. This is especially important at a time when the country must depend on every citizen to rebuild the economy, reduce criminal activity and increase production and diversification activities. The main objects of the TTNYC are to:
• Inspire youths to take up prominent positions in national development
• Create a network of youth leaders and mentors
• Empower youths to carry out meaningful work in schools and communities
• Provide a launch pad for other youth related events
• Promote youth services and products
• Promote youth-led initiatives
