🤝 June is Rotary Fellowship Month! 🤝

In Rotary, fellowship is more than friendship—it is the foundation that strengthens our commitment to service. Through shared experiences, meaningful connections, and a common desire to make a difference, Rotarians build lasting relationships that transcend professions, cultures, and generations.

This Fellowship Month, the Rotary Club of San Fernando South celebrates the camaraderie, unity, and spirit of collaboration that makes Rotary so impactful. It is through these bonds that we inspire one another, support our communities, and create lasting positive change.

Together, we serve. Together, we grow. Together, we make a difference.

Today, the Rotary Club of San Fernando South joins in commemorating Corpus Christi, a sacred observance that celebrates the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist—the Body and Blood of Christ.

Corpus Christi is a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewal of faith, reminding us of the values of love, sacrifice, humility, and service to others. These principles resonate deeply with Rotary’s commitment to serving our communities and fostering goodwill.

As this holy day is observed across Trinidad and Tobago, we extend our warmest wishes to all those celebrating. May Corpus Christi bring peace, blessings, and spiritual nourishment to you and your families.

Happy Corpus Christi from the Rotary Club of San Fernando South.

The Rotary Club of San Fernando-South, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of San Fernando-South and T&TEC, proudly hosted the ‘SPARK’ Initiative earlier today at Naparima College — an engaging and interactive session designed to empower students through education and awareness on energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, electrical safety, and more. ⚡🌱

Through meaningful discussions and hands-on interaction, students were encouraged to think critically about sustainable energy practices and the important role they play in building a brighter, safer, and more sustainable future.

We are proud to be a partner in such events, within youth service month and beyond.

Together, we continue to inspire young minds and spark positive change in our communities. 💡✨

💐 HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY 💐

Today, the members of the Rotary Club of San Fernando-South proudly celebrate and honor all mothers — the heart of our homes, the strength of our communities, and the guiding light for future generations. 💐

Mothers embody compassion, sacrifice, resilience, and unconditional love. Their influence shapes families, inspires leadership, and helps build a more caring and compassionate society. Today, we thank every mother for the countless ways they nurture, uplift, and support those around them.

On this special Mother’s Day, we also extend heartfelt birthday wishes to our President, Ravita N. Babwah — our club’s first female president, a dedicated leader, and a proud mother whose service and commitment continue to inspire us all. We wish her a wonderful year ahead filled with happiness, love, and continued success.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers in our Rotary family and beyond. 🌸

🌱🌍 April is Environment Month in Rotary! 🌍🌱

This April, the Rotary Club of San Fernando South proudly joins Rotarians around the world in recognizing Environment Month on the Rotary calendar. Protecting our environment is one of Rotary’s seven key areas of focus, and we remain committed to initiatives that promote sustainability, conservation, and responsible stewardship of our natural resources.

From supporting community clean-ups and tree planting to raising awareness about environmental responsibility, our club continues to play its part in creating a healthier and more sustainable future for generations to come.

We encourage everyone in our community to take small but meaningful steps this month—reduce waste, conserve energy, plant a tree, or participate in a clean-up effort. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

🌎 Service Above Self includes caring for the planet we all share.

Today, the Rotary Club of San Fernando-South joins the nation in commemorating Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day — a day that honours the resilience, faith, and cultural legacy of the Spiritual Baptist community.

This historic occasion marks the repeal of the Shouter Prohibition Ordinance in 1951, restoring the right of Spiritual Baptists to worship freely after years of struggle and perseverance. It stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of religious freedom, cultural identity, and the enduring strength of community.

As Rotarians committed to service, peace, and understanding, we celebrate this day with deep respect for the Spiritual Baptist faith and its significant contribution to the rich cultural tapestry of Trinidad and Tobago.

May this day inspire reflection, unity, and continued respect for the diversity that strengthens our nation. 🇹🇹✨
