New field development and is ongoing apace in neighbouring and . And this year clocks its 118 years of commercial hydrocarbon exploration and production. With more than 3.8 billion barrels of oil and 40 trillion cubic feet of gas produced to date many, if not all, of our fields are now increasingly becoming economically challenged for continued oil and gas production. Recent conflicts around the world have resulted in elevated oil and gas prices.
