🦁🇹🇹 SERVICE KNOWS NO BORDERS! 🇨🇦🦁

While spending time in Canada, our very own Lion Marilyn proudly carried the spirit of service from Trinidad & Tobago all the way to Scarborough, Ontario!

Lion Marilyn joined 25 volunteers at a church food bank, assisting with sorting and packaging donated food items in preparation for distribution to families in need.

The service continued for a few days beginning at 7:30 a.m., when Lion Marilyn and the other volunteers will help distribute the food packages to families within the community. ❤️

We are extremely proud to see one of our own continuing to live our Lions motto wherever she goes.

❤️ Same heart for service.
🦁 Same commitment to WE SERVE!

Well done, Lion Marilyn! You are proudly representing the Les Efforts Lions Club and the spirit of Lionism in Trinidad & Tobago. 🇹🇹👏🇨🇦

THE JULIANA CHUNG SEA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FUNCTION 2026

Investing in Education, Empowering Our Youth! 💛

The Les Efforts Lions Club proudly hosted its annual Juliana Chung SEA Scholarship Programme, an initiative that has been supporting and encouraging young students in our community for over 15 years.

This year, we were pleased to support 10 students from 5 schools as they prepare to begin an exciting new chapter in their educational journey.

Each student received a CASH VOUCHER to assist with the purchase of books for the new school term, along with a SCHOOL BAG and a bag filled with STATIONERY items. 🎒📚✏️

We were honoured to have Mrs. Joann Taylor-Smith, Counsellor/Life Coach, as our feature speaker. Mrs. Taylor-Smith did an excellent job engaging, motivating and encouraging our students, sharing valuable words of wisdom that we hope they will carry with them as they move forward in their education. 🌟

A particularly touching moment came from our Patron, Mr. Jeffrey Chung, son of the late Juliana Chung, who brought heartfelt remarks. His words were filled with emotion as he reflected on his mother and the programme that continues to proudly carry her name. It was a beautiful reminder of the legacy of Juliana Chung and the impact that her name continues to have on the lives of our young people. ❤️

A very special thank you to Lion Beverly, Coordinator of the Juliana Chung SEA Scholarship Programme, who once again did an excellent job in organizing and coordinating this wonderful event. Your dedication, hard work and continued commitment to our young people are sincerely appreciated. 👏🏽

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our fellow Lion Members - Lions Mavis, Joanne, Heather, Maureen, Gabby and Jada, Supporters, Parents, Guardians, Schools and everyone who contributed to making this year's programme a success.

To our scholarship recipients: Believe in yourselves, work hard, remain focused and never be afraid to dream big. This is only the beginning of your journey, and we wish each of you tremendous success as you enter your new schools. 🎓✨
