📢 INFORMACIÓN PARA LA COMUNIDAD MIGRANTE
Proceso de Registro de Migrantes en Trinidad y Tobago
(Actualización oficial – Enero 2026)
El Gobierno de la República de Trinidad y Tobago, a través del Ministry of Homeland Security, ha anunciado el inicio del Proceso de Registro de Migrantes 2026, dirigido a personas migrantes en situación irregular que se encuentren en el país.
Desde La Casita Hispanic CC, compartimos esta información con el objetivo de reducir la desinformación, orientar de manera responsable y promover una participación informada, ordenada y segura.
🗓️ FECHAS CLAVE
Inicio del registro en línea:
🗓️ Lunes 26 de enero de 2026
Cierre del registro en línea:
🗓️ Miércoles 25 de febrero de 2026
⚠️ Este período corresponde únicamente a la fase digital obligatoria.
La fase presencial se realizará a finales de febrero de 2026, con fecha exacta a ser anunciada oficialmente.
🌐 ¿CÓMO SERÁ EL PROCESO?
1️⃣ REGISTRO EN LÍNEA (OBLIGATORIO)
El proceso inicia con el pre-registro online a través del portal oficial:
🔗 migrantregistration.gov.tt
A través de este sistema:
Cada solicitante recibirá un número de referencia o código QR.
Se deberá reservar una cita, seleccionando fecha, hora y lugar.
⚠️ No se atenderá a personas que se presenten sin cita previa.
⚠️ Quienes no completen el registro digital dentro del plazo no podrán continuar el proceso.
2️⃣ REGISTRO PRESENCIAL (VERIFICACIÓN FÍSICA)
La verificación presencial se realizará en centros gubernamentales de alta capacidad, organizados por zonas:
📍 Hasely Crawford Stadium – Port of Spain (Zona Oeste)
📍 Larry Gomes Stadium – Arima (Zona Este)
📍 Ato Boldon Stadium – Couva (Zona Centro/Sur)
📍 Dwight Yorke Stadium – Tobago (Zona Tobago)
Durante esta fase se realizará:
Verificación exhaustiva de documentos
Toma obligatoria de huellas dactilares
Chequeo de antecedentes por parte del TTPS
Evaluación de salud en sitio, con personal del Ministerio de Salud
👥 ¿QUIÉNES PUEDEN APLICAR?
✔ Personas migrantes mayores de 16 años, con estatus regular o irregular
✔ Niños y niñas deben asistir presencialmente con sus padres o representantes
✔ Los niños deben ser declarados en el Anexo 1 del formulario
⚠️ EXENTOS DEL PROCESO
Personas con residencia permanente
Personas que han aplicado a residencia permanente
Personas con otros permisos vigentes o en trámite
❌ NO APLICABLE PARA
Personas con orden de deportación vigente o que hayan sido deportadas
Personas con casos criminales pendientes, condenas o búsqueda activa
📄 DOCUMENTOS REQUERIDOS
El día de la cita cada solicitante debe llevar:
✔ Formulario completo en inglés, impreso
✔ Original + dos (2) copias del formulario y de cada documento que aplique:
Pasaporte (vigente o vencido)
Pasaportes anteriores
Cédula o identificación nacional
Certificados de identidad, nacimiento o matrimonio
Documentos de custodia o tutela legal (si aplica)
Orders of Supervision (si aplica)
Prueba de dirección
Facturas de servicios
Permisos ministeriales, work permits, MRF cards
Carnet de vacunas
Certificados CSME u otros documentos oficiales
📸 Fotos tipo pasaporte
Adultos: 3 fotos
Niños: 1 foto
Fondo blanco
No pegadas ni engrapadas
🩺 REQUISITOS ADICIONALES
Prueba de nacionalidad (documento oficial con foto, aunque esté vencido)
Anexo 2 – Formulario de Salud
La Declaración (Sección F) debe firmarse únicamente frente a un Oficial de Inmigración
💵 COSTO Y VIGENCIA
Costo del registro:
💵 TTD $700 por adulto
Niños: no pagan
🪪 Las personas aprobadas recibirán una Migration Registration Framework (MRF) Card, que:
Autoriza residir y trabajar legalmente
Tiene vigencia hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2026
⚠️ MENSAJE OFICIAL IMPORTANTE
El Ministerio de Homeland Security ha indicado que:
❗ Las personas migrantes indocumentadas que no se registren dentro del período establecido y sean encontradas posteriormente por las autoridades enfrentarán procesos de deportación.

✔ Preparar con anticipación los documentos originales

Migrant Registration Process – Trinidad and Tobago
(Official Update – January 2026)
The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, through the Ministry of Homeland Security, has announced the commencement of the 2026 Migrant Registration Framework (MRF) for undocumented migrants residing in the country.
La Casita Hispanic Cultural Centre shares this information to reduce misinformation, provide responsible guidance, and promote informed, orderly, and safe participation in this process.
🗓️ KEY DATES
Start of Online Registration:
🗓️ Monday, January 26th, 2026
End of Online Registration:
🗓️ Wednesday, February 25th, 2026
⚠️ These dates apply only to the mandatory digital registration phase.
The in-person verification phase is expected to begin at the end of February 2026, with the exact date to be announced officially.
🌐 REGISTRATION PROCESS
1️⃣ ONLINE REGISTRATION (MANDATORY)
The process begins with online pre-registration via the official government portal:
🔗 migrantregistration.gov.tt
Through this system:
Each applicant will receive a reference number or QR code.
Applicants must book an appointment, selecting the date, time, and location.
⚠️ Walk-ins will NOT be accommodated.
⚠️ Applicants who do not complete the digital phase within the established period will not be able to proceed.
2️⃣ IN-PERSON REGISTRATION (PHYSICAL VETTING)
In-person processing will take place at designated high-capacity government facilities, organized by zone:
📍 Hasely Crawford Stadium – Port of Spain (West Zone)
📍 Larry Gomes Stadium – Arima (East Zone)
📍 Ato Boldon Stadium – Couva (Central/South Zone)
📍 Dwight Yorke Stadium – Tobago (Tobago Zone)
During this stage, applicants will undergo:
Document verification
Mandatory fingerprinting
Security vetting and background checks by the TTPS
On-site health screening, conducted by the Ministry of Health
👥 WHO CAN APPLY?
✔ Migrants 16 years and older, regardless of nationality
✔ Children must be present with their parents or legal guardians
✔ Children must be declared in Annex 1 of the application
⚠️ EXEMPT FROM THIS PROCESS
Persons with Permanent Residency
Persons who have applied for Permanent Residency
Persons holding valid permits or permits under consideration
❌ NOT ELIGIBLE
Persons with active deportation orders or who have been deported
Persons with pending criminal matters, criminal convictions, or active warrants
📄 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
On the day of the appointment, applicants must bring:
✔ Completed application form in English (printed)
✔ Original + two (2) copies of the application form and all applicable documents:
Passport (valid or expired)
Previous passports
National ID or Cédula
Certificates of identity, birth, or marriage
Legal guardianship or custody documents (if applicable)
Orders of Supervision (if applicable)
Proof of address
Utility bills
Minister’s permits, work permits, MRF cards
Immunization cards
CSME certificates or other official documents
📸 Passport-size photographs
Adults: 3 photos
Children: 1 photo
Plain white background
Do NOT staple or glue
🩺 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Proof of nationality (official photo ID, even if expired)
Annex 2 – Health Form
The Declaration (Section F) must be signed only in the presence of an Immigration Officer
💵 REGISTRATION FEE & VALIDITY
Adults: TTD $700 per person
Children: No fee
🪪 Approved applicants will receive a Migration Registration Framework (MRF) Card, which:
Legally authorizes residence and employment
Is valid until December 31st, 2026
⚠️ IMPORTANT OFFICIAL NOTICE
The Ministry of Homeland Security has stated that:
❗ Undocumented migrants who fail to register within the designated period and are later found by authorities will be subject to deportation.
