It’s been more than a minute since the ladies of SI Newtown found the time to do a little team building and membership engagement, so last night we did just that. The ladies of SINT showed up and slayed at the HEELS DANCE CLASSES Dance Studio for a slow and sassy dance class. A time was certainly had. We’re definitely ready for the Soroptimist Dance Challenge now 😃🥳😜. Thank you to our Membership Officer Isshad N J John for coordinating!

Today several Members of SITT National Association gathered at Southern Medical Clinic San Fernando and the office of Dr. Anala Maharaj - Opthalmologist for Eye Screening. Special thanks to Dr. Maharaj (seen far right) for her excellent manner and thorough examination and to our sisters for extending the invitation to all local sister Soroptimists for Membership Month 2026.

Our Little Free Library at Nelson Mandela park has been restocked. Feel free to stop by with your kids to borrow, read, return and donate books to aid the kids in our community.

Today, SI Newtown celebrates all Mothers and we show special gratitude to those who care for the motherless. In our first of , SINT recognises the caregivers at Our Lady of the Wayside Home in Belmont, organising an afternoon of meditation, massage therapy, care packages and craft items from the children these ladies care for. Today, we remind mothers that they cannot pour from an empty cup and to make some time to refuel. Thank you to our SINT members and corporate sponsors Sacha Cosmetics and Cher Mere Day Spa who fuelled our care packages.
