The first awardee we are highlighting in "From Promise to Achievement" is Jacqueline Roach-Sarjeant. ✨🥳

She has serviced the association in many capacity over her years and is currently still an active leader with 1st tunapuna girl guides, and has successful mentored multiple young leaders, worked with so many guides from brownies to rangers and continues to do so. Along with this she is also currently the Tacarigua Division Commissioner, and serves in various committees.

This year she was a recipient of the Samaan Gold Award and the Long Service Award for 50 years.

GGATT at the 39th WAGGGS World Conference 2026!

The Girl Guides Association of Trinidad and Tobago is proud to have been successfully represented at the 39th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), held in Cambodia from 15–19 June 2026 through the virtual Attendance Option.

Our delegation comprised:
• Debra East – Head Delegate & GGATT Chief Commissioner
• Sheanna Rampersad – Delegate & GGATT Youth Representative
• Lennore Cyrus – Observer & GGATT Youth Council Member

The Conference brought together Guiding and Scouting leaders from around the world under the inspiring theme “We See. We Care. We Act.” as members worked collectively to shape the future of the Movement.

We also look forward to the 40th WAGGGS World Conference, which will be hosted in Rwanda in 2029.

Congratulations to our delegates for proudly representing Trinidad and Tobago on the world stage!

We thank the workers of Trinidad and Tobago for their dedication, service and commitment.

From those on the frontlines all the way to those working behind the scenes for our country, we acknowledge and appreciate every contribution to make positive impact.

At GGATT, we recognize just how important leadership and service to our country is, along with the value of hardwork in our society.

Thank you again to all the workers who contribute to positive change in big and small ways everyday.

The Girl Guides Association of Trinidad and Tobago is 112 years old today! 🇹🇹🥳☘️🎂

Over these years, we have empowered girls and women to lead with courage, serve with compassion, and make a positive impact on their communities.

From generation to generation, our members have embraced adventure, developed lifelong skills and forged lasting friendships that stand the test of time. They have upheld values of leadership, service and sisterhood. Through Guiding, girls are encouraged to dream big, believe in their potential and purse their aspirations with confidence and determination.

As we celebrate, we honour the guides, leaders, volunteers, and supporters who's dedication has powered the association and shaped our legacy.

Here's to 112 years and many more to come! 💙☘️💫

The 100th Anniversary commemorative badge was designed by a Brownie Guide? Making it a true symbol of creativity, leadership, and pride within our movement.

This May, ALL our Brownie Packs and Units will be working towards earning the 100th Anniversary Badge. 🦉 ☘️

This badge is more than a celebration, it’s a journey into our legacy.

Brownies will:

• Discover where Guiding began locally and explore its history
• Learn about the women who shaped our organisation, whose dedication and leadership have brought us to where we are today
• Take part in national and community activities that reflect the spirit of Guiding
