Yesterday, December 21, 2025, the Club hosted its annual Senior Citizens Luncheon at the Maraval Community Centre. The afternoon was filled with festive cheer as the Prisons Band provided lively entertainment, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Lions members were pleased to serve the senior citizens of Maraval and its environs a sumptuous Christmas lunch, sharing fellowship, gratitude, and the true spirit of the season.

Today, our Club was proud to support Rainbow Rescue by assisting with their annual fundraising brunch held at the Church of the Assumption, Maraval.

All proceeds from the event will go directly toward the ongoing management of the boys’ home and the care and upkeep of the children. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and to support such a meaningful cause in our community.

Members of POS North at the 1st Zone Advisory Meeting at the Lions Cultural Centre. A productive meeting was held covering general discussions and important updates on the Lions Portal, Club Excellence Award, Zone Meetings, Zone Project ideas, Club visitation (Zone Chair), among others. Represented clubs received memorabilia (banners, pamphlets) of the International President AP Singh and Director, Nadine Bushell.

The Lions Club of Port of Spain North extends its congratulations to Lion Renisha IPP, who has been honoured with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for dedicated humanitarian service. She is now tasked to continue her unwavering commitment, driven leadership, and passion for serving others.

Recognition must also be given to Lions Gerard and Paula, both of whom have been awarded Progressive MJF.

Veolia, for the third year in a row and in anticipation of the Lions Club of Port of Spain North’s Back To School initiative, has donated 10 school bags together with stationery. On 8th July 2025 Lion Renisha collected these school bags on behalf of the Lions Club of Port of Spain North from Mr Delroy Hector of Veolia. The bags will be appropriately distributed to students in need.

On Thursday 26th June, with the effort of four members, the Club was able to plant and stake 14 trees in the Diego Martin area. Thirteen were put along the Diego Martin Highway near Crystal Stream and one was planted on Lion Alan Tang Wing’s property, in his honour. The trees included Barbados Pride, Tacoma, Poui and Jamoon.
