We Say Y.E.S Organization

We Say Y.E.S Organization We Say Y.E.S. WE Say Y.E.S. The Y.E.S!!! In Feb 2016, (exactly 4 years after the vision was revealed to the Founder) the Y.E.S.!!!

(Youth Entrepreneurship for Self-Empowerment) focuses on serving youth from under-resourced communities across Trinidad and Tobago - through educational sessions, skills training, mentorship and more! Organization is a not for profit/non-governmental organization that focuses on youth entrepreneurship, self- empowerment and parent empowerment. (Youth Entrepreneurship for Self Empowerment) program

me was envisioned in 2012, launched on 7th April 2013 and piloted for 3 years. The programme started as personal burning desire to want to create a positive response to the increase in gun violence and gang warfare in the East POS communities and to create more youth success stories from these areas. The Founder of the programme, Nichola Harvey, go a vision from God, to create a structured success programme for "at risk" youths from her community of East POS on 12th Feb 2012. This vision was validated by trusted family members, friends and mentors and who worked collaboratively to convert this vision into a reality on 7th Apr 2013. The programme initially targeted children between the ages of 5 to 16yrs from "at risk" communities of Ovid Alley, Desperslie Crescent, Lower Laventille, Mango Rose, Gonzales, Beverly Hills, John John, Success Laventille, Morvant & Stephensville. programme was officially rebranded and the We Say Y.E.S. Organization was registered as a new NGO. The WSY programme curriculum is based on a modified version of the USA based, MarketPlaceforkids programme. However with the help of many local experts the basic curriculum was customised to not only suit Trinidad and Tobago's environment but also expanded to include new content areas. As such, the piloted one year programme (2013-2014) delivering 12 entrepreneurship and self-empowerment modules to the participants has evolved to a 3 yr programme and then a 6yr programme. Included in the 6 year programme is the Kisdspreneur/ Youthpreneur (basic concepts of entrepreneurship & self empowerment) level, TAP 1 & 2 (Tapping into Your Potential by exploring multiple intelligences of children and converting talents into business) and Achievers (Continued development path) levels. Whilst the Organization has continued to serve the East POS communities, it has also established a branch in Arima, targeting children from La Horquetta, Calvary, Pinto/Train Line as well as other areas in Trinidad such as Cocorite, Harpe Place, Chagaunas and even Tobago. Sessions occur three Saturdays each month for three hours at a designated locations with field trips and sales days at other locations. With the onset of COVID 19, the We Say YES programme pivoted into an online programme for the children and parents. However, face to face sessions will resume. The programme is supported by a Board, Programme Administrator, Advisory Committee and an Operational Team (Community & Non-Community Volunteers) and funded by both Corporate and Individual Social Tithing Partners and Self-Funding activities. vision is to nurture empowered entrepreneurial youth who are confident, competent, caring, creative achievers, contributors and leaders. We achieve this vision, through our mission of providing opportunities for both the youth and parents. Organization's future plans, include expanding to other areas in Trinidad, Tobago and Regionally and establishing a Youth Dream Centre. May God continue to bless this organization bountifully.

๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡น From a challenge in rural Moruga to a business making waves internationally. A huge thank you to Dareem Jeffrey, Founder and CEO of EcoWash Global, for serving as the Keynote Speaker at Hope Revealed โ€“ Generation Green and for inspiring our young people with his remarkable entrepreneurial journey.

Dareem showed our participants that some of the world's best business ideas begin by solving real problems. What started as a "problem" growing up with water shortages in his community has grown into the Caribbean's first water-conservation car wash, demonstrating how innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship can come together to create meaningful impact.

Thank you for reminding our youth that their circumstances do not define their future, and that with creativity, determination, and vision, they too can build solutions that change communities, industries, and even the world.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ Heartfelt thanks to the Environmental Management Authority Environmental Management Authority for partnering with We Say Y.E.S. to deliver an incredible Nature and Environment Module for our young participants.

From developing a diverse and engaging environmental education syllabus, to introducing creative and non-traditional teaching methods, the EMA helped make learning fun, interactive, and impactful. Throughout the module, our participants explored topics ranging from biodiversity, conservation, and recycling to marine ecosystems, virtual reality experiences, and environmental stewardship.

We are especially grateful for the many environmental NGOs and experts brought into the programme, exposing our young people to a wide range of careers, causes, and opportunities within the environmental sector. Thank you also for guiding our participants as they developed and presented their own environmental business concepts at Hope Revealed โ€“ Generation Green, demonstrating that sustainability and entrepreneurship can go hand in hand.

A special thank you to Xaria-Lee Darlington, Environmental Education Officer, for bringing remarks on behalf of the EMA facilitators at the showcase, and to every facilitator who generously invested their time, energy, expertise, and passion into this journey. โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿ’งDareem Jeffrey is from the rural village of Moruga in deep south Trinidad. He is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who launched his latest business at the age of 24 after losing everything he had after being unemployed due to COVID 19.

Mr Jeffrey owns and manages the EcoWash brand , the Caribbeanโ€™s first water conservation car wash, which guarantees a clean car using only 2 litres of water. It is the ONLY legal carwash in Trinidad and Tobago during water restrictions (apart from the bucket and sponge method).

ย EcoWashโ€™s business model involves empowering youth, especially those from vulnerable areas, to run their units at strategic locations, such as malls. Their objectives are two-fold: reduce water wastage while providing youths with a positive outlet which will make them self-sustainable.

Dareem now a TedX speaker, has won several awards over the years including but not limited to:

โ€ข ย  Top Innovation in the World at World Congress in Switzerland
โ€ข Global Sustainable Entrepreneur of the Yearย
