IAMovement is a non-profit organization which was founded in 2014 by a group of young people in Trinidad & Tobago to effect positive social and environmental change, and has become a leading civil society voice on climate change locally and regionally. IAMovement was formed by a group of young men and women in Trinidad & Tobago who came together in the hopes of bringing about positive change at a

time when we feel that the country needs it. Our mission is to carry out activities and events in the fields of education, awareness, and empowerment, community building and environmental conservation, and to invite and inspire others to join in and to do the same in their own ways where they can.

IAMovement joined the Trinidad & Tobago delegation at the Blue Planet Alliance Fellowship Program – Cohort VI in Honolulu, Hawaii from May 10–15, 2026 🌍

Our Managing Director, Kevan Kalapnath-Maharaj, formed part of the national delegation, engaging in five days of expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and site visits alongside various island nations committed to achieving 100% renewable energy.⚡️

A defining moment of the week came with IAMovement signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the , an agreement to work together to create a world in which humanity and nature live in harmony. ✍️

This milestone marks a significant step forward in IAMovement’s commitment to driving meaningful climate action, and we look forward to the work ahead as we join a growing global network of islands building a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come. 🌱

On Sunday 24th May 2026, IAMovement and Massy Group came together at the National Quarries site in Sangre Grande for a large-scale reforestation event as part of National Day of Caring, and the results speak for themselves. 💚

350 Massy employees rolled up their sleeves to plant fruiting, hardwood and endemic species alongside Vetiver grass slips, a Nature-based Solution proven to support healthy tree growth and land restoration. 🌿

Every tree will be maintained over a 3+ year period, with guaranteed survival and replacement where needed because real reforestation means seeing it through. 🍃

The El Socorro Centre for Wildlife Conservation is hosting a fundraiser hike to Mermaid Pools on Sunday, March 29th, 2026, and you’re invited! 🏞️

IAMovement has worked closely with the El Socorro Centre for Wildlife Conservation to release rehabilitated animals into our restored quarry sites, giving our local wildlife another chance in a thriving environment. 🦎

The fun doesn’t stop at the trail’s end! After the hike, there will be an interactive wildlife display at Kobani Kobana. 🦉

We headed to the Nu-Iron Unlimited plant compound to host a day dedicated to Climate Education and Circular Action! 🏗️♻️

We were thrilled to partner with Nu-Iron Unlimited to drive climate education and circular action. It’s inspiring to see leadership in the industrial sector support nature-based solutions and local innovators.

At our recent Climate Change and Circular Economy Fair at the Nu-Iron plant compound in Pt. Lisas 🔃 20,000 plastic bottles transformed into functional benches, 🌱 10 local innovators showcased circular economy solutions, and 🎤 2 interactive Climate Talks were held with the Nu-Iron team on the power of the Vetiver System.

By bringing together industry and environmental pioneers, we’re building the bridges needed for a sustainable Caribbean. Cheers to the many partners who made this day a success! 👏
