Homeless Assistance Office

Homeless Assistance Office Our goal is to provide homeless persons a means to get off the street.

We engage with each of our clients by listening, responding and supporting them in whatever way we can to achieve their goals, improve their situation and better their quality of life. We begin by engaging the client on a one to one basis, listening to their plight and to what their needs are. Thereafter, an initial assessment is made in order to determine what heading and/or category of care the

individual would fall under. These range from medically ill, mentally ill, substance abuse, elderly, ex-convict, deportee, refugee or strictly homeless. In the absence of a proper Homeless Centre every effort is made by the HAO team to transition the client from the street to a ‘better’ place. The Homeless Assistance Office is also set up to help each client with retrieving lost documents (Passports, ID card, Birth Certificates, Driver’s License, National Insurance number, etc) whilst also satisfying their other needs (Doctors/Dental appointments, Pension and Disability allowance applications, HIV testing, sourcing medication, etc).
