⚽ The 2026 World Cup reminds us what can happen when talent is supported, developed, and given room to shine.

Research continues to show that women's sports are growing rapidly, with millions of new fans, increasing visibility, and greater opportunities than ever before.

The same is true beyond the field.

When women are given support, encouragement, and opportunities to heal and rebuild, incredible things happen.

Every woman deserves the chance to live fully and thrive.

Yesterday’s Mother’s Day at Serenity Place was pure love 💛

Thank you to everyone who showed up with kindness, support, and open hearts. You remind us we don’t heal alone.

Here’s to recovery, sisterhood, and new beginnings. One day at a time.

My Mother Who Fathered Me
For nine months she carried me
With many discomforts and strain
Then she gave birth to me after some very excruciating pain
I was her bundle of joy sent from heaven above
She cuddled me, comforted me and gave me all her love
Sometimes when I cried all through the night
And she didn’t know what to do
She would hold me real close to her
While praying and asking God for a clue
And so she is the best mother that can ever be
That’s my mother who fathered me

Some days when she looked around
There was nothing at all to eat
She would hold her head and cry, then suddenly jump to her feet
And then she would start to think out loud
Books to buy uniform to get rent to pay
And food to put on the table
There is no daddy around to help her out
Cause he donated his s***m and left
She decided to make it on her own
No matter how hard it would get
Many jobs she got and leave
Cause there was no one she trusted to look after me
But she never gave up and never quit
Because she put her trust in God
She is the best mother I’m sure you’ll agree
That’s my mother who fathered me
All through her years of struggle
She never let me go
She turned her nights into days, to make ends meet
And no one ever knew her sorrow
But through her smile you could see her pain
And hear her silent cry
She would stand up firm and strong
No matter what obstacles she may face
She is the best mother there could ever be
That’s my mother who fathered me

She made sure I went to school
And get a good education
She taught me how to choose
And not be led astray
She thought me the values of life
And how to live for God
She taught me how to love myself
And how to show others love
She taught me how to never give up
No matter what get in my way
She is my friend my sister and my mother
And the best there can ever be
That’s my mother, the mother who fathered me
To all the mothers who fathered their children
Please stand up and take a bow
A mother’s day is sure not enough
To honour and cherish you all
You deserve all the blessings
That God could ever give
Continue to be the mothers you are
As long as you shall live
