Maloney recruits were made up of former senior players from various teams who played in the now-defunct Northern basketball league and the Northwestern ba

sketball league, then the preeminent basketball tournaments in Trinidad and Tobago. the young men of the area felt that opportunities to play competitively were limited for them. therefore the Maloney pacers became the brain-child of those ambitious young men who wanted greater and more developed heights for their enthusiasm for the sport. ..After many meetings over two years the institution of the Maloney pacers basketball club and youth development program was official launch. The following persons were the first authorized coaching staff Christopher Jackson Charles A former journalist, martial arts practitioner, and basketball player with various clubs in the Port of Spain area. Defence Force personnel Jamaal Mathurasingh A former D'Posse basketball player, Alvin Dempster formerly of the famed Harambee baseball club of Barataria, and Nigel Adams also of the famed Harambee basketball club and a former national basketball player[1980/82]. Some notable founding players of the club were as follows Edwaldo Bernard Miguel Williams, Anderson Joseph, Marlon 'flowers ' Thomas, Marvin Washinton, Andre Murell[Deceased]Kirt Pierre, Keston Vidale, Kirt Murray, Antonio piper, and Joseph Green. The women's area of the program was launched in 1999, Some notable founding members were Leslie ann Baquain nee Francios, Carolann 'bounty 'Granger, Edris Bailey [University of Massachusetts], Patrice Edwards[texas tech] LaToya Gibson [Dillard university] Natasha Young[juco] Candice Bart, Kamila Sobers, Clarisa Cain -Duncan, and Sarah James sister of international soccer player Julius James. Maloney Pacers have over the years become the most dominant basketball club in Trinidad and Tobago over the last thirty years of Existence. During this time close to 250 players have graced the national programs of Trinidad and Tobago, Sisty players have gone on to receive basketball scholarships to universities in the United States of America at Ncaadivision 1,2 Naia division,2, and Junior colleges,
Locally numerous basketball players has been offered scholarships the to the University of Trinidad and Tobago the national tertiary educated institution of this country alone pacers has been successful at numerous major tournaments held in Trinidad and Tobago, Super ten basketball, national titles, [inagual female senior champs] Zonal Championships[ we are the most successful team ever] Maloney pacers have dominated the junior categories from u14 to u21 love the last ten years
either in 5on5 basketball or the newly FIBA establish 3x3 basketball off which we are the inaugural champs C.The coaching staff is lead by 'coach Jackson Charles considered one of the Caribbean's preeminent coaching minds.
