The goal of the IDM and the real purpose of all its efforts and act
ivities is to live a life of a Muslim seeking solely the pleasure of Allah in this world and in the Hereafter as spelled out in the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The IDM strives for the attainment of its objectives only in the manner and method permitted by Islam which includes:
• A personal and collective study of Islam.
• Islamic training and character building.
• A personal commitment to Islam and its ideals.
• Jama'ah, brotherhood, discipline and obedience.
• Fear of Allah, patience, striving in the path of Allah, pure intentions, physical well-being and spending in the way of Allah.
• Open da'wah to both Muslims and non-Muslims.
• Relating Islam to the issues of the day, enjoining what is right and forbidding wrong.
• Initiating, organizing and strengthening projects and programmes for the betterment of the society.
• Cooperating, assisting and working with all and sundry on the principles of righteousness and piety.
