Helping Her Foundation

Helping Her Foundation Helping Her Foundation is a local non profit that provides menstrual health products (pads, liners & tampons) to those who have limited access.

Many things are an inconvenience; your period shouldn’t be one of them 🔴 Ladies,
Imagine not having a single tampon or pad while you have your period. What would you do? Would you "duck" work? I will if that were the case, but thankfully I don't have to do this. Many women and female children throughout Trinidad and Tobago are not able to go to work and/or school during the entire week of their p

eriod. This is because of a lack of income in combination with the lack of access to the necessary products depending on where they live. I've gotten in contact with a few halfway houses that shelter battered women and children that are in need of such products. All those interested in volunteering to supply products (pads, tampons etc) please private message and I will contact you with further details. Also, if you know of any women or children in need please PRIVATE MESSAGE me with the information. Note:
1) Monetary donations are accepted. You will be provided a receipt upon confirmation of donation.
2) The nature of this drive requires a certain level of discretion from all volunteers including me; hence we cannot directly deliver the products directly to the shelter/s. All products must be delivered to us in order for us to deliver to the individuals in charge of the shelter/s.
3) No, we will not take any donated products for personal use. On behalf of all the women being helped through this initiative, thank you in advance.

Today, on Menstrual Health Day, we’re raising our voices for every girl in Trinidad and Tobago who has ever had to stay home, sit out, or hide away because of their period.

When we treat menstrual health as a luxury, we are telling people that their education and dignity are optional.

At Helping Her Foundation, we believe that menstrual health is the floor, not the ceiling. We won’t stop until every person who menstruates across our islands have the supplies and the education they need to thrive. 🇹🇹✨

We aren’t just “managing” cycles; we are improving our health and supporting each other. Period.

For this week’s , friend of HHF and Pediatric Neuropsychologist, Christina is showing us her “just-in-case” items. Because nobody should have to worry about a surprise start and try to have a pleasant experience! 🩸🩸

Period poverty ends with education, and a little bit of prep! 🩸💪

No girl left behind. 🇹🇹✨

In Trinidad and Tobago, no girl should have to put her life on hold because of her period. Period poverty isn’t just a lack of products, it’s a barrier to education and dignity, but our sisterhood is stronger. We’re standing together to ensure every woman across our islands can flow with confidence.

Let’s turn our collective strength into action. Because when one woman rises, we all do.

The official awareness months may have passed, but let’s continue to raise awareness about these conditions that affect 1 in 10 women.

If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, please reach out to a health care professional for a medical assessment and help.

We are here to support you on this journey

Some costs don’t show up on receipts…
But girls pay for them every single day.

When access is missing, confidence can be shaken.

When support is absent, opportunity is lost.

Together, we can change that.

Dignity: restored
Confidence: boosted
Opportunity: available
Every girl: worth it

Know the Difference!

Even though both can cause heavy, painful periods and fertility issues, they have one key difference:

Endometriosis occurs when the tissue similar to the uterus lining grows OUTSIDE the uterus.

Andenomyosis occurs when this tissue grows INTO the muscular uterine wall, causing it to thicken.

Thank you for your donation and doing your part to raise awareness and fight period poverty across T&T!
