Please pray for Columbia

More than 180 people have been confirmed dead - most in the cities of Cali and Pereira.

Please pray for the families of those who have lost loved ones, the injured and the rescue workers who are working against the clock to free survivors trapped in buildings and under the rubble.

Training the next generation of leaders

A new wave of young leaders is stepping forward across the Sahel after completing an intensive OM leadership programme.

Twenty-five participants from six countries returned home with renewed passion and practical tools to serve their communities. The initiative is already helping spark change across the region.

Reaching the Fulani

The Fulani are one of the largest nomadic people groups on earth, spread across many countries in West and Central Africa, but a shared language helps maintain a strong shared identity across those vast distances. An OM team is learning the Fulani language in order to be able to share the good news with these communities.

In some parts of the Sahel, following Jesus can cost everything — community, jobs and even the loss of children and family. Those who decide to follow Jesus have a difficult decision to make: do they share their faith with their children, knowing that their children have to then keep the secret also as discovery could tear their families apart? Yet courage is rising, as some families choose to pass on their faith — no matter the cost.

Join us in praying for those who follow Jesus in the Sahel. Pray for those who chose to keep their faith a secret, and for those who take the risk in sharing. God knows each situation. Download OM’s free Prayer Reach app to join in praying todaywww.om.org/prayer-reach

A punctured tyre – God works through unexpected circumstances

June 2026 a team of eight travelled from Jamaica to Ghana and Togo serving people in the community. Showing God’s love and sharing the good news of Jesus.
As the team travelled back God opened an opportunity. Their vehicle had a tyre puncture. While waiting for the repair, the team met a woman. They prayed for her and her sick child, and the woman accepted Jesus into her life. A beautiful reminder that God often works through unexpected circumstances.

Complex families in Western Sahel

Across the Sahel, many grow up without a father as part of the family unit, making it hard to understand what love and commitment really look like. But a quiet counter-story is emerging, as Christian families live out a different way — showing what faithful love looks like, and pointing the way to a committed, faithful Father.
