❤️ A VOICE FOR CHANGE | GENDER THROUGH YOUR EYES

Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation is incredibly proud of Jahaziel Jiménez, 16, one of our Gender-Based Violence Prevention Ambassadors from Gender Through Your Eyes.

Jahaziel stepped forward as a youth panellist, courageously contributing to a powerful and challenging discussion on gender-based violence, prevention and the role young people can play in creating safer communities.

At just 16, she represented not only her own voice, but the voices of young people who believe that change is possible. We are proud of the confidence, courage and maturity she demonstrated while engaging in such an important conversation.

👏🏽 Well done, Jahaziel! You represented Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation, Gender Through Your Eyes, UNICEF and the European Union with distinction.

Your voice matters. Your perspective matters. And your generation has a powerful role to play in shaping a future where everyone is safe, respected and valued.

❤️ Keep speaking. Keep learning. Keep leading.

A smile can change everything. ❤️

Through our Community Mapping and Outreach Initiative, the educational component continues to create meaningful learning opportunities for children in the Icacos community.

This Saturday, we were delighted to welcome visitors from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and other stakeholders as we connected, engaged and shared in moments that brought smiles to our children’s faces. 📚🌱😊

This is what community impact looks like — education, connection and opportunity, one child at a time.

Implemented by Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation, with support from UNICEF and co-funded by the European Union.

🇹🇹WHAT A PROUD MOMENT FOR RYU DAN & THE PKATT/WAKOTT FAMILY! 🇹🇹

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Shantel Licorish, who has been selected by the U.S. Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago to participate in this year’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), with a focus on Combat Sports and Social Change.

This is more than a sporting opportunity. It is an opportunity to explore how combat sport can be used to develop leadership, discipline, resilience, inclusion and positive pathways for young people and communities. The U.S. Department of State’s exchange and sports diplomacy initiatives recognise sport as a powerful platform for leadership, community engagement and cross-cultural understanding.

From Ryu Dan, to PKATT/WAKOTT, and as a representative of Trinidad and Tobago, Shantel continues to carry our flag with pride. 🇹🇹❤️

And as a daughter of Enterprise and the Ryu Dan family, we are especially proud to see you stepping onto an international platform.

Keep flying. ✈️
Keep serving. 🤝
Keep learning. 📚
Keep growing. 🌱
Keep inspiring. 🥋

Congratulations, Shantel Licorish!
Your journey is another reminder that combat sport can be more than competition — it can be a pathway to social change.

Ryu Dan is proud of you! ❤️🖤🤍

🌟 RYU DAN YOUNG LEADERS MAKING THEIR MARK! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our young leaders who represented Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs National Youth Conference and Exposition, held at the National Cycling Velodrome in Couva.

👏🏽 Alisha Boyce – Presenter
👏🏽 Analisa Boyce – Senior Team Lead
👏🏽 Adrese Charles – Team Lead, Gender
👏🏽 Ariel Charles – Team Editor
👏🏽 Janiah Benjamin – Junior Team Lead

Our young people did exceptionally well and demonstrated leadership, confidence, teamwork and purpose.

A special salute to Alisha Boyce, who delivered a powerful presentation on mental health and the role that sports and communities can play in supporting young people. Her voice, insight and confidence were truly inspiring. 🎤❤️

This is what empowerment looks like — creating opportunities for young people to step forward, share their ideas, lead conversations and let their voices be heard.

The National Youth Conference created a platform for young people to contribute to conversations that can help shape the future of youth development in Trinidad and Tobago.

At Ryu Dan, and members of PKATT/ WAKO TT - Official Media , we believe our young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are leaders today.

We will continue to create spaces where they can LEARN. LEAD. SPEAK. SERVE. INSPIRE.

We are proud of you, Young Leaders! ❤️🖤🤍
