🩸 World Blood Donor Day 2026
External Affairs Learning & Resource Links | T&TMA

Blood donation remains one of the most effective ways individuals can contribute directly to patient care.

Safe blood and blood products are essential for:
• Trauma and emergency care
• Surgery
• Childbirth-related bleeding
• Cancer treatment
• Severe anaemia
• Sickle cell disease and other blood disorders

Voluntary, non-remunerated blood donors are the foundation of a safe and sustainable blood supply. Regular donors help ensure that blood is available whenever and wherever patients need it.

This World Blood Donor Day, we encourage members of the public to learn more about blood donation and to support national efforts to maintain an adequate blood supply for Trinidad and Tobago.

❤️ Thank you to all blood donors whose generosity saves lives every day.

Be a lifeline. Give blood. Give hope.
