🚨🚨🚨🚨 Urgent Request!!!!

Hi everyone, this is Lane. I rescued her from an unfortunate situation and she's been with me for about the past month. She is super sweet, cuddly, loving, chill and so easy to take care of.

I had all intentions of just fostering her after she healed from being spayed but then I fell completely in love and decided if no one came forward, I would keep her, and so, it didn't take long for me to accept that she was staying with me.

Now, I have a cat already, a real scaredy cat who gets anxious in most situations, and as much as I thought I would be able to transition into having 2 cats, even if I had to keep them apart if they didn't get along, this wasn't my only problem. Ila, my resident kitty, has become really stressed and unsettled, not even using the bathroom for long long periods of time and I am trying everything to keep them both happy which is proving to be futile 😣

So this brings me back to this group, looking for a loving home for my sweet Lane, it is heartbreaking to have to let her go as I am already attached but I don't know what else to do at this point 💔

🏡 LOVING HOMES NEEDED 🐾

We currently have 4 dogs and 4 cats looking for safe, permanent homes.

🐶 2 Caroni rescue pups
These are the final two pups from the group of 10 rescued from the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Five sadly did not survive, three have been rehomed, and these two are still waiting for their families.

🐕 1 adult dog also needs a loving home - still being fostered. Originally from the Rescuers' population who passed away.

🐕 1 adult dog rehabilitated after being hit and left for dead close to C3 Mall south Trinidad.

🐱 4 cats are available for adoption, including one very tame cat currently living at a school and in need of a proper home. We do not yet have photos of all the cats, but details will be shared shortly.

All potential adopters will be screened. We are looking for responsible homes where these animals will be loved, protected and cared for permanently.

These bills represent only a fraction of the veterinary expenses Project I’mPossible carried throughout 2024–2025 from one Vet who assisted our causes.

We are especially grateful to one of the generous veterinary teams who worked with us during this period offering reduced rates where possible, extending payment time when bills became difficult to manage, and giving us the grace and flexibility needed to continue helping animals in desperate situations.

Importantly, the bills being shared here do not even include the costs of our low-cost spay and neuter initiatives during those two years, nor do they represent every animal welfare expense the organisation and the Vet incurred.

Of the overall veterinary costs, we estimate that only around 5% was covered through direct donations from members of the public. The remainder had to be met through the work of our volunteers, fundraising initiatives and the organisation’s own efforts.

We share this not as a complaint, but to give the public some perspective on what animal welfare organisations and independent rescuers are carrying quietly every day.

There remains no meaningful government subsidy to offset these veterinary costs, despite the continuing problems of stray animals, abandonment, cruelty and uncontrolled breeding. Veterinary professionals also have their own businesses, staff, medicines and operating costs to maintain, so there is only so far that prices can reasonably be reduced.

This is why public support matters so much.

Every donation towards an animal welfare case helps us pay a vet bill, sterilise another animal, provide treatment, prevent further suffering and continue doing work that otherwise has very little financial support behind it.

To the vets who have shown compassion, reduced costs where possible and trusted us with time to settle our bills: thank you. Your kindness has allowed us to help animals we may otherwise have had to turn away.

And to every person who has donated, supported a fundraiser, volunteered, shared a case or helped in any way, thank you. We simply could not continue this work without you.

Please consider donating towards our ongoing animal welfare and veterinary expenses. Even a small contribution, multiplied across our community, can make a very real difference.

🚨 PUBLIC APPEAL: INFORMATION REQUEST REGARDING THE TREATMENT OF CATS AT CARONI. MOST CATS ARE MISSING!!!!!🚩🚩🚩 PLEASE SHARE EVERYWHERE

Over the past several months, concerns have continued to be raised regarding the collection, transportation, holding, and possible ILLEGAL EUTHANISIA of cats in and around the Caroni Bird Sanctuary.

These concerns do not exist in isolation.

Since 2019, there have been repeated public reports of cats at Caroni being poisoned, alongside wider concerns regarding attempts to remove cats from the sanctuary to protect wildlife. The 2019 poisoning incident was particularly disturbing, resulting in the deaths of multiple cats and other animals within a protected ecosystem. These events have been widely reported and remain a matter of public record. (Wildlife Protection T&T)

In 2024 and 2025, public discussions intensified, with some stakeholders, "committees and initiatives"openly advocating for trapping, removal, and euthanasia as a method of population control. Media reports also referenced previous poisoning attempts and ongoing concerns about the impact on wildlife. (Trinidad Guardian)

Today, additional information is being brought forward.

Evidence is currently being compiled relating to allegations of cats being collected, transported, held in groups, and potentially euthanised.

Information already under review includes:

• Witness accounts collected over several months.

• Vehicle registration information.

• Reports of organised activity involving the movement of cats.

• Photographic , video and documentary evidence.

This information is being assembled to establish the facts and determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support referral to the appropriate authorities.

We are therefore appealing to anyone with first-hand knowledge to come forward.

We are particularly seeking additional:

• Witness statements.

• Photographs and videos.

• Information relating to the transportation or holding of animals.

• Any additional evidence that may help establish a timeline of events.

All information will be treated confidentially, and names will be kept anonymous wherever possible.

If evidence of unlawful conduct is uncovered, all available evidence will be submitted to the relevant authorities, and all appropriate legal remedies will be pursued against those found to have participated in, authorised, facilitated, or concealed any criminal activity.

This appeal is not intended to accuse any individual, business, organisation, employee, volunteer, or tour operator without evidence.

It is intended to establish the truth.

Animal welfare decisions should be guided by transparency, evidence, and the law. If animals have been harmed unlawfully, there must be accountability.

Background information:

Today, 13th August 2026, Trinidad and Tobago still has no regulation controlling puppy mills, indiscriminate breeding or the commercial breeding of dogs and cats for profit - by Pet Shop Owners, the general public and Vets - yep, I said it!

Animals are bred repeatedly, puppies and kittens are sold for TT$2,000 and upwards, and there is far too little oversight of where they come from, certification, biodata, how often animals are bred, or the conditions they are kept in.

Meanwhile, rescuers are left dealing with the fallout: unwanted litters, abandoned animals, neglect and suffering.

Our animal cruelty laws exist, but they are outdated and poorly enforced. We have also written to the Minister of Agriculture a few times about these concerns and are still awaiting a response.

Breeding animals for profit cannot remain virtually unchecked.

Regulate breeders. Shut down puppy mills. Enforce the law. Protect animals.

Money talks..husky and persian walks.. the streets... After the owner decides they can't "afford them anymore".

Project I’mPossible 2026 Update | January to August

From January to August 2026, this work has been a collective effort between Project I’mPossible and a small group of dedicated independent rescuers, working together to help animals in some of the most difficult circumstances.

Funds raised, donations received and available resources have been shared across this collective effort, helping with emergency rescues, food, veterinary treatment, medication, boarding and holding costs, fostering stipends and, where sadly necessary, humane euthanasia to prevent further suffering. This has included animals injured on the roads, older dogs and cats requiring additional care, complex medical cases and the ongoing treatment of an old cat currently battling cancer.

The rescuers involved and admin have each contributed in different but equally important ways, including identifying animals in need, coordinating rescues, transporting animals, fostering, arranging veterinary care, managing boarding, finding homes, feeding animals and supporting cases financially and practically. No one person or organisation could've undertaken Paul's (deceased) project alone and no help was offered by the government or the wider rescuer community.

Because of the unusually high number of emergency and long-term cases this year, fewer spay and neuter procedures have been possible, as available funds have had to be prioritised towards animals requiring immediate or continuing care.

The Caroni puppies have also remained a significant collective rescue effort. Despite extensive care, six sadly passed away. One was successfully rehomed, while four remain in boarding, with the rescuers continuing to shoulder substantial food, boarding and care costs.

Rehoming also remains a challenge. From the 65+ cats and dogs within the rescue population, several cats and a dog are still awaiting permanent homes despite continued efforts by everyone involved.

For the remainder of 2026, we hope to work together to increase low-cost spay and neuter, particularly among stray populations supported by rescuers and participating restaurants; distribute donated flea, tick and deworming treatments; continue assisting animals requiring urgent care; and continue efforts to engage the Government on meaningful animal-welfare proposals.

This update represents the work of all the rescuers, supporters, donors, sponsors, fosters, veterinary teams and individuals who have contributed. Every rescue, every treatment and every second chance has been made possible through partnership.

Together, we continue to do what we can, with what we have, for the animals who need it most.
