A gentle reminder to those persons with business accounts or others who think that rescuing a stray cat/ dog off the street automatically entitles them to a low cost spay because as the last person wrote "they are improving their lives". Not 100 cats, 2 cats. Please use our what's app message for legitimate requests.

Our low-cost spay/neuter programme is intended to assist genuinely low-income pet owners and legitimate rescuers who are actively helping cats in our community.

Because spaces and funding are limited, we must ensure the programme is being used fairly and responsibly. For low-income applicants, we require a copy of the most recent electricity bill for verification, as many rescue organisations and assistance programmes do. This helps us make sure support goes to those who truly need it.

Please understand that simply finding or rescuing a street cat does not automatically qualify someone for discounted services. We appreciate every person trying to help animals, but taking advantage of the programme prevents us from assisting the people and rescuers who rely on it most.

We also want to strongly remind the public that dumping or abandoning cats is never acceptable. Abandonment only increases suffering, overcrowding, and the stray population, while placing additional strain on rescuers, shelters, and community resources. If you cannot care for an animal, please seek responsible rehoming assistance rather than abandoning them.

This programme is built on honesty, compassion, and community responsibility. We thank everyone who supports it respectfully and works with us to improve the lives of cats in need.

🚨 URGENT: THESE CATS HAVE LOST THEIR RESCUE - Please help them not lose their chance at a home too.🚨

For years, they were cared for by a dedicated rescuer who gave them safety, food, warmth, and love. After their rescuer sadly passed away, a very small team stepped in and has been supporting these cats tirelessly 100% for the last 7 months and for more than 4 years before that whenever help was needed.

But we are now reaching a heartbreaking point.

These cats cannot remain shut away in shelters or temporary spaces much longer. They deserve windows, sofas, gentle hands, quiet naps, and someone to finally call their own. They deserve stability after so much uncertainty.

Every cat has had regular vet check-ups, is tame, healthy, and ready for a loving home. They are not “problem cats”. They are loving souls who have simply outlived the person who promised to care for them forever.

We are pleading with kind people to come forward whether to adopt, foster, share this post, or help us reach someone who can.

Please don’t let them spend any more of their lives behind closed doors waiting for someone to choose them.

If you can open your heart and home to one of these beautiful cats, please message us. Even one adoption changes everything.

Please share. Their future truly depends on it.

These two souls are just a reminder of why rescue work never stops (AI Generated photo - the images of the actual dogs are in previous posts). 💔 One dog didn't make it, she was too far gone, she passed peacefully at the Vet.

Today, because of the kindness of anonymous sponsors and supporters, our current 10 puppies, including cases like these are receiving food, medical care, warmth, and a chance at life.

We are beyond grateful for every donation, every share, and every person who believes these innocent animals deserve love and hope.

But the reality is that rescue is ongoing, and monthly expenses continue to rise. We urgently need monthly pledges and sponsors to help us continue caring for our existing cases and future rescues.

Even a small monthly contribution can help save lives, provide treatment, and give neglected animals a second chance.

Thank you to our anonymous sponsors for reminding us that compassion still exists. 🐾❤️

If you would like to become a monthly sponsor, please send us a message.

Yesterday morning, we received a heartbreaking message about a lone puppy seen by the river in Caroni Bird Sanctuary (see previous post). Throughout the day, three different persons came forward saying they had seen more puppies hidden under a boat nearby.

Last evening, a rescuer went out to investigate and heartbreakingly, all 10 puppies were there. These innocent babies had clearly been dumped and abandoned. They were cold, frightened, covered in dirt, with swollen bellies and living in complete disarray. 💔

Persons present at the time stated that if they were not removed, the puppies would be euthanised. We knew we could not leave them there.

These puppies are now safe and currently being boarded while we work to get them the care they desperately need. They will require deworming, veterinary care, proper nutrition, and lots of love and comfort after what they’ve endured.

We are urgently asking the public for help. 🙏
Any donation no matter how small will go directly toward boarding expenses, food, medical treatment, and their recovery. Support from our community is what makes rescues like this possible.

Most importantly, these babies will need loving forever homes where they can finally feel safe and wanted. If you are interested in adopting or helping in any way, please reach out.

Thank you to the few who helped get these puppies to safety. Please share this post so we can give them the future they deserve. ❤️🐾

Someone just WhatsApped this in. No additional information was provided, and they dropped a pin pointing to Caroni Bird Sanctuary. They’re also not answering their phone.

If anyone is close by, can you please go and check? The puppy is near the water and looks scared.

This happened last year with two cats, and the Forester responsible for the sanctuary and its animals placed the responsibility on us to do the rescue, then failed to follow through on taking them in and giving them a home after assuring us he would, if we rescued them.

Almost one month ago, on April 14th, we sent an email to the Minister of Agriculture regarding urgent concerns about Animal Welfare.

We were advised to do so after the Minister’s public advisor expressed concerns about a flyer we shared, stating that we had not received the follow-up meeting that was promised after our initial discussion last year. Additionally, the Animal Welfare proposal and supporting surveys compiled by rescuers had not been addressed or acknowledged. We were told, the Minister reads all correspondence and takes all matters seriously.

Since then, there have been multiple reported cases of neglect and cruelty, which we will share in another post and no response from the Minister's office or the "advisor".

As indicated, a copy of the email is included below. Feel free to share your views.

This issue affects all of us, and it is important that the government continues to hear from citizens who care about the humane treatment and protection of animals.

Real change only happens when people continue speaking up consistently and respectfully.

We encourage everyone who cares about Animal Welfare to:
• Contact your representatives and government officials
• Continue raising awareness
• Share this post so more voices can be heard

Please remain respectful and constructive in all communications. Advocacy matters, and public pressure can make a difference.

Together, we must keep pushing for stronger protections, accountability, and meaningful action for animals.

🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED 🚨

Update: she passed away 17th May 2025. We received one donation towards the bill which would be applied to another emaciated dog and the 10 pups rescued.

This is the THIRD dog rescued in critical condition. This poor baby is severely malnourished and currently receiving emergency treatment at Dr. Raymond, Charlieville, including drips, medication, and ongoing care.

The rescuer cannot do this alone anymore. We are asking for donations to help cover:
• Vet bills
• Drips & medication
• Food & recovery care

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help save this dog’s life. 🙏🏽🐾

If you would like to donate or need the vet’s information for direct confirmation, please message or WhatsApp 480-1174.

Please share to help us reach more people. ❤️
