As part of our You FuTuRe project, our disaster awareness activities for children, young people, and adults are actively ongoing. Through these activities, we aim to raise awareness about natural disasters, strengthen preparedness, and promote a culture of safety within the community.

Our sessions are designed to be interactive and inclusive, using methods such as simulations, group work, and practical exercises. Participants gain essential knowledge about how to respond effectively in emergencies like earthquakes, fires, and floods, while also improving their communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.

As part of our You FuTuRe project, disaster awareness trainings for young people and children are actively continuing in schools. Through these sessions, we aim to increase awareness about natural disasters, teach basic preparedness skills, and promote a culture of safety among younger generations.

The activities are designed to be interactive and engaging, including games, simulations, and short informative presentations. Participants learn how to respond during emergencies such as earthquakes, fires, and floods, while also developing teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Avrupa Komisyonu tarafından desteklenen ve Avrupa Dayanışma Programı (ESC) kapsamında yürüttüğümüz “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (YouR FuTuRe)” projesi kapsamında gönüllülerimiz sahaya indi.

Gönüllülerimiz, Sorgun sokaklarında gerçekleştirdikleri anket çalışmasıyla, yerel halkın afetlere ne kadar hazır olduğunu anlamaya yönelik çeşitli sorular yöneltti. Farklı yaş gruplarından ve kesimlerden bireylerle yapılan bu çalışma sayesinde, toplumun afet bilinci ve hazırlık düzeyi hakkında önemli veriler elde edildi.

Anket kapsamında katılımcılara;

Afet anında nasıl hareket edecekleri,
Acil durum çantası hazırlayıp hazırlamadıkları,
Toplanma alanları hakkında bilgi sahibi olup olmadıkları,
Daha önce herhangi bir afet eğitimi alıp almadıkları gibi sorular soruldu.

Elde edilen sonuçlar, toplumda afet farkındalığının artırılması gerektiğini bir kez daha gösterirken, aynı zamanda yapılacak eğitim ve faaliyetler için önemli bir yol haritası sundu.

Bugün İlçe Sağlık Müdürlüğü tarafından You FuTuRe projemiz kapsamında 7 farklı ülkeden katılan ESC gönüllülerimize temel düzeyde ilk yardım eğitimi verildi. Bu kapsamda gönüllülerimiz, acil durumlarda doğru ve hızlı müdahale edebilmek için gerekli temel bilgi ve becerileri edinme fırsatı buldu.

Gönüllülerimizle değerli bilgi ve deneyimlerini paylaşan İlçe Sağlık Müdürü Uzman Dr. Onur TÜRKÖN’e ve Uzman Dr. Mehmet ŞAN’a içten teşekkürlerimizi sunarız.

Our trainings continue at full speed within the scope of the “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (YouR FuTuRe)” project, supported by the European Commission under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).

In today’s program, our volunteers received both theoretical and practical training on mountaineering and search and rescue in earthquakes.
As part of the mountaineering training, participants:
Learned safe movement techniques in nature,
Practiced basic knot tying and equipment usage,
Gained knowledge on navigation and risk management in challenging terrains.

Within the earthquake search and rescue training, they:
Learned methods to reach people trapped under debris,
Practiced safe search techniques and team coordination,
Experienced effective and rapid response processes in disaster situations.
Thanks to these sessions conducted by expert trainers, our volunteers have become better prepared both physically and technically to respond to emergencies and disasters.

Avrupa Komisyonu tarafından desteklenen ve Avrupa Dayanışma Programı (ESC) kapsamında yürüttüğümüz “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (YouR FuTuRe)” projemiz tüm hızıyla devam ediyor.

7 farklı ülkeden gelen gönüllülerimiz, afetlere hazırlık ve müdahale konularında bilgi ve becerilerini geliştirmeye yönelik eğitimlere aktif olarak katılıyor. Bugün, Yozgat AFAD İl Müdürlüğü ev sahipliğinde gerçekleştirilen uygulamalı eğitim programında, AFAD uzmanları tarafından oldukça kapsamlı ve sahaya yönelik eğitimler verildi.

Eğitim kapsamında gönüllüler;

🚨 Acil durumlarda hızlı ve doğru şekilde çadır kurma tekniklerini,

🚨 Yangın anında doğru müdahale yöntemlerini uygulamalı olarak deneyimleyerek yangın söndürme becerilerini,

🚨 Enkaz kaldırma çalışmalarında hayati öneme sahip hava yastığı seti kullanımını,

🚨 Afet sonrası arama kurtarma çalışmalarında kullanılan enkaz altı dinleme cihazlarının kullanımını öğrenme fırsatı buldu.

Gerçekçi senaryolar eşliğinde gerçekleştirilen bu eğitimler sayesinde gönüllüler, sadece teorik bilgi değil, aynı zamanda pratik deneyim de kazanarak olası afet durumlarında daha bilinçli ve etkili müdahale edebilecek donanıma ulaştı.

SORGED olarak, gençlerin afetlere karşı bilinçlenmesini ve toplumsal dayanıklılığın artırılmasını hedefleyen bu tür eğitimleri desteklemeye devam ediyoruz. 🚨

Within the framework of our project “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (You FuTuRe)”, supported by the European Commission and implemented under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), we organized a workshop on climate change and natural disasters for high school students at the Sorgun District Public Library. 📚

📍 Within the scope of the workshop:
🔹 Causes and impacts of climate change,
🔹 The increasing frequency of natural disasters and related risks,
🔹 Individual measures that can be taken in daily life
were discussed.
🎯 The workshop was carried out with the active participation of young people, using interactive methods to raise awareness and encourage participants to share their ideas on the topic.

🌱 Through this activity, high school students became more aware of environmental and disaster-related issues and were motivated to take responsibility for a more sustainable future.

Within the framework of our project “Protect Your Future with Disaster Awareness (You FuTuRe)”, supported by the European Commission and carried out under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), comprehensive trainings were organized for our volunteers. 🌍🚨

🎓 The trainings were delivered by:
Disaster and Emergency Coordinator Lect. Meryem Akbulut Bakır,
Dr. Süleyman Gürbüz, and
Deputy Disaster and Emergency Coordinator Lect. Enes Arslan.

📍 The training content included:
🔹 The relationship between climate change and natural disasters,
🔹 Disaster awareness and risk reduction methods,
🔹 Basic knowledge and practical applications of search and rescue processes.

🌱 Volunteers from different countries not only increased their awareness of disasters through both theoretical and practical sessions but also had the opportunity to develop the skills needed to respond effectively in crisis situations.
