Koç University Design Lab The Koç University Design Lab develops future media, products and spaces The Design Lab has strong relationships with related industries.

The Koç University Design Lab, as a part of the Koç University – Arçelik Research Center for Creative Industries, focuses on future media, products and spaces. Research at the Design Lab is carried out together with the departments of Computer Engineering and Psychology and is integrated with research at the Intelligent User Interface, Optical Microsystems and Robotic and Mechatronics labs. Research projects are based on user experience, conceptual design and application development. We have developed "re-reading" and "breaking the rules" methodologies and we use them in our creative solutions development.

Oguzhan Ozcan Lately, I’ve been wondering whether we are producing more images while imagining fewer possibilities. Academic evaluation systems measure more than ever , but what do they actually see? In the age of AI-assisted publishing, this question can no longer wait. Drawing on forty years in design and academia, my forthcoming article in Design Issues (MIT Press) opens the gap between metrics and meaning for debate. I’ll share it here upon publication.
