The second day of the Activity (15/01/2025) was about sharing cultures through food. At Spojená škola A. Dubčeka, a secondary VET school focused on cooking and serving in Vranov nad Topľou, students and teachers were given a tour of the facilities and engaged in a culinary workshop. They created 4 menus that combined elements from the Mediterranean diet and national cuisines, illustrating the beauty of blending culinary traditions. There was a sensory evaluation where the participants took part in a sensory evaluation of the dishes, engaging in the tasting experience and reflecting on how food brings people together. They also created a video that captured the hands-on experience. The highlight was the workshop with Lenka Orlovská, a Nutrition Consultant at Akadémia výživy, who guided the group through an insightful session about the Mediterranean Diet. To top off the event, it was also a special occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of eTwinning, marking two decades of incredible achievements in bringing schools together across Europe!

1.Day
On January 14th, 2025, the KA210 Erasmus+ Project "Mediterranean Diet for Overall Health" (MedDiet4Health) launched its ‘Nutrition Traditions in Lifecycle and Time’ activity with a warm Welcome Ceremony, engaging ice-breaking activities at the school canteen, and a school tour. During the tour, we explored the host country’s educational system and exchanged ideas.
Working in international mixed teams, students created an e-map highlighting food traditions and cultural practices tied to major life events in the partner countries. Additionally, they collaborated on an e-cookbook featuring festive recipes that celebrate the richness of our shared culinary heritage. Both products were uploaded to the project’s Twinspace, leaving a meaningful impact on our collaboration. The day continued with experiments in the chemistry lab and concluded with a guided tour of the city center.
