Istanbul Maharat Center is a livelihood center supported by International Medical Corps and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. Istanbul Maharat Center is composed of four components; an incubation center, skills development, career counselling for refugees and capacity building for local NGOs and CSOs. “Maharat” is derived from the Arabic word for “skill”, and the center will focus
on building the skills of Syrian refugees through language classes and professional courses in various areas of business, IT and communications, health and finance. These courses will be complemented with tailored mentorships, internships and apprenticeships, to open doors for potential jobs in the future through job matching platforms for beneficiaries. Istanbul Maharat Center will also focus on capacity building training courses for local NGOs, CSOs, Municipalities and different stakeholders to better equip them to respond to the urgent needs of Syrian and non-Syrian refugees. Centrally located in the heart of Istanbul, the Center is aimed to be easily accessible for the refugee population from all over the city.
مركز مهارات اسطنبول هو مركز لكسب الارزاق افتتح من قبل الهيئة الطبية الدولية بالشراكة مع الهيئة العليا للامم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين. يتكون مركز مهارات اسطنبول من أربعة مكونات اساسية وهي بالتسلسل كالتالي : مركز حاضنة الأعمال و تنمية المهارات و تقديم المشورة المهنية للاجئين و بناء القدرات للمنظمات غير الحكومية المحلية و منظمات المجتمع المدني.
كلمة "مهارات" مشتقة من الكلمة العربية ل "مهارة"، وسوف يركز المركز على بناء مهارات اللاجئين السوريين من خلال دروس اللغة و الدورات المهنية في مختلف مجالات مثل الأعمال التجارية و تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات و الصحة و المالية.
وسوف تتبع هذه الدورات بدورات مصممة بشكل مخصص و التدريب الداخلي و التلمذة المهنية ، من اجل فتح الأبواب أمام فرص العمل المحتملة في المستقبل و ذلك من خلال منصات لإيجاد الوظائف للمستفيدين.
سيركز مركز مهارات اسطنبول أيضا على دورات تدريبية لبناء قدرات المنظمات غير الحكومية المحلية و منظمات المجتمع المدني و البلديات و اصحاب المصالح أيضاً لإعدادهم بشكل أفضل من أجل الاستجابة للاحتياجات العاجلة للاجئين السوريين وغير السوريين. إن موقع المركز في قلب مدينة اسطنبول، و ذلك من أجل تسهيل الوصول إليه من قبل الاجئين من جميع أنحاء المدينة.
