We rescue, rehabilitate, foster and provide lifelong care for cats, dogs, and other animals in need who have been rescued from the streets of Ankara, Kocaeli, Istanbul and Houston, as well as US kill shelters (Montgomery County Animal Shelter, Conroe, Texas) and some Turkish shelters that are in horrible conditions. They are given a safe haven without the common threats of r**e, torture, and murde
r in the streets. Nourishing holistic food, clean sleep areas, and a green sunny dog park in which to run and play is some of the elements of life in SnowHill Sanctuary... To increase the privacy of our dog park from the eyes of some evil neighbors that are ready to shoot any dog at an instance, we plan to hide the sanctuary's fence behind gr**evines, flowers, and shrubs in the spring of '12. Fruit and nut trees form a large element of the landscaping of the farm. More than twenty varieties of fruit (cherry being the most famous; as well as apple, pear, pomegranade, blueberries, blackberries, and kiwi to mention a few) and nut (chestnut, walnut, almond, hazelnut) trees were originally planted in the farm, and as a result some fruit is ripe and ready to eat nearly every month of the year, which we integrate into the holistic diet of our dogs. We also aim to finance maintenance of the farm by selling the farm’s organic crops. Integrating passive solar design and proper site orientation for the second building (the Sacred Cattery), we aim to raise comfort and cut energy bills in the near future.
