BASAT is proud to announce its participation in the International Football Tournament (Uluslararası Futbol Turnuvası), a prestigious event organized by YTB and Yeni Dünya Vakfı to foster friendship and athletic excellence among international communities. Competing under the name “BANGLADESH,” our team has showcased exceptional sportsmanship and dedication throughout the opening rounds.

We are immensely grateful to our players for their hard work and to the organizers for hosting such a high-caliber event. As we transition into the high-stakes knockout matches, we invite the entire community to join our next tournamet match at the stadium. Bangladeshi Students’ & Professionals' Association in Türkiye - BASAT এর সহকারী আইটি ও মিডিয়া সম্পাদক Mohammad Sayedul Mostain Taranga বর্তমানে ইস্তাম্বুলে অনুষ্ঠিত SAHA EXPO 2026-এ অংশগ্রহণ করছেন। এই আন্তর্জাতিক প্রদর্শনীতে তুরস্কের শীর্ষ প্রতিরক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহ যেমন ASELSAN এবং Bayraktar তাদের অত্যাধুনিক প্রতিরক্ষা প্রযুক্তি ও সরঞ্জাম উপস্থাপন করছে, যা বৈশ্বিক অঙ্গনে ব্যাপক আগ্রহের কেন্দ্রবিন্দু হয়ে উঠেছে।

এবারের প্রদর্শনীর অন্যতম আলোচিত বিষয় YILDIRIMHAN যা একটি Liquid Fuel চালিত ইন্টারকন্টিনেন্টাল ব্যালিস্টিক মিসাইল (ICBM) হিসেবে উপস্থাপিত হয়েছে। এটি তুরস্কের প্রতিরক্ষা সক্ষমতার ক্ষেত্রে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মাইলফলক হিসেবে বিবেচিত হচ্ছে।

Bangladesh Shines at International Culture Day 2026!

The spirit of Bangladesh made a vibrant and unforgettable mark at International Culture Day, On May 5, 2026, hosted by Istanbul Commerce University. In a grand celebration that brought together students from 40 different nations to honor global diversity, the Bangladeshi stall stood out as a true highlight of the event. The event was further distinguished by the presence of the Honourable Rector, Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Hanifi Parlar, who visited the stall to exchange warm greetings with the students. Their visit highlighted the university’s support for international diversity and added a layer of prestige to our cultural showcase.

Beautifully adorned with traditional souvenirs and intricate cultural elements, the stall served as a vivid window into the nation's rich heritage. However, it was the authentic and delicious Bangladeshi cuisine that truly captured the hearts and palates of the university community, attracting a constant stream of students, faculty, and distinguished guests. Through their exceptional hospitality and pride, the Bangladeshi student body transformed the stall into a premier destination, successfully showcasing the beauty and spirit of their homeland on a global academic platform. তুরস্কের ধর্ম মন্ত্রণালয় Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (দিয়ানেত) কর্তৃক আয়োজিত সম্মানজনক ‘আন্তর্জাতিক হিফযুল কুরআন ও সহিহ কুরআন তিলাওয়াত প্রতিযোগিতা ২০২৬’-এ গৌরবময় দ্বিতীয় স্থান অর্জন করেছে বাংলাদেশের কৃতি সন্তান, মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী হাফেজ ওসমান গনি।

BASAT had the distinct honor of participating in the TÜGVA Istanbul Büyük Teşkilat Kampı in Kızılcahamam, Ankara from April 17–19, centered around the inspiring theme of a generation walking in the footsteps of Fatih and embracing the virtue of loyalty. The program provided a vibrant environment where 12 Bangladeshi students from various universities across Istanbul came together to engage in meaningful sessions and collaborative activities.

BASAT was officially represented by Ishtiaq Ahmed Labib (Secretary of Planning & Program), Golam Mostafa (Assistant Publication & Literature Secretary), and Zarif Razeen (Assistant Felicitation Secretary). Beyond the formal sessions, our representatives worked alongside international peers to strengthen the bonds of solidarity and foster lasting friendships that transcend borders.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers for their gracious invitation and the warm hospitality shown to our delegation. 🤍🔥

We are proud to share that BASAT has taken part in the “World Cup Four Corners – Uluslararası Halı Saha Turnuvası”, organized by YTB and uluslararası Genç Derneği. Representing Bangladesh under the name “Bengal Tigers”, our team started strong by winning their first match and have now advanced to the Round of 16! 🔥🐅

A big thank you to our amazing players for their effort and dedication, and to the organizers for hosting such a great tournament. If you’d like to support our team in the upcoming knockout matches, you’re more than welcome to join us and cheer for the Bengal Tigers.
