Yesterday August 21 2022 ,we remember thousands of our people and livestock lost during the lake Nyos disaster in Cameroon in 1986. 36 years has passed and the people are still suffering. More to that , the socio political instability in menchum since 6 years ago has affected our people negatively. We are witnessing a second disaster and hope one day our government and the international community will come to our aide again .
We hope a monument will be erected to remember the lives of the 1986 victims.
We remain positive
We remain hopeful
We remain prayerful and
We remain determined to move forward.
