Aleppo has endured years of destruction,
but its young people never lost their ambition.
Today, at Aleppo University, something powerful has begun.
The Innovation & Digital Fabrication Lab is now open,
a space where students move beyond theory
and start designing, prototyping, and building real solutions.
This lab gives Aleppo’s students access to tools that were once unimaginable:
• Advanced 3D printers
• CNC machines for wood and metal
• 3D scanners for heritage preservation and reconstruction
• Laser cutting technology
• Professional engineering and design software
For the first time, students can:
• Prototype solutions for healthcare, water, and agriculture
• Digitally preserve and rebuild cultural heritage
• Turn ideas into tangible products
• Learn skills aligned with the future, not the past
This is a seed.
A seed for:
• A new generation of Syrian innovators
• Locally driven reconstruction
• A knowledge-based economy rooted in dignity and capability
Aleppo’s recovery will not come only from rebuilding walls,
but from empowering minds.
And this lab is a step in that direction.
What grows from here,can shape the future of a new Syria.

حلب..مدينةٌ تعلّمت كيف تصمد، وكيف تحلم رغم كل شيء.. و باتت مفتاح للنصر..

اليوم، في جامعة حلب، وُلد مكانٌ جديد يمنح أحلام الطلاب أدواتٍ لتكبر.

مختبر الابتكار والتصنيع الرقمي حيث تتحوّل الفكرة إلى نموذج،والشغف إلى عمل،والأمل إلى بداية حقيقية.

طابعات ثلاثية الأبعاد،وماكينات CNC،وماسحات ثلاثية الأبعاد، وقواطع ليزر،
كلها بانتظار عقول شابة تؤمن أن المستقبل يُصنع هنا.
هذا المختبر هو وعد..بأن حلب ستنهض من جديد، بأيدي أبنائها.
كل الشكر والتقدير لجامعة حلب، برئاسة الدكتور محمد أسامة رعدون، على إيمانهم العميق بهذا النهج ودعمهم المتواصل لتمكين الشباب والابتكار،

اختُتمت بنجاح تدريبات ريادة الأعمال START READY – 2 التي نفذناها في هاتاي!

تلقى المشاركون تدريبات شاملة في تأسيس الأعمال، والثقافة المالية، والتسويق الرقمي، والتجارة الإلكترونية.

نتوجّه بالشكر إلى مركز تنسيق ASAM لتوفيره مكان التدريب ولدعمه القيّم.

كما نهنئ جميع المشاركين على التزامهم وجهودهم الكبيرة طوال فترة البرنامج.

The START READY – 2 entrepreneurship trainings we conducted in Hatay have been successfully completed!

Participants received comprehensive training in business establishment, financial literacy, digital marketing, and e-commerce.

We would like to thank the ASAM Coordination Center for providing the training venue and for their valuable support.

We also congratulate all participants for their dedication and motivation throughout the program.

A Place for Making in Erbil

The makerspace is a place to learn, create and develop products using physical fabrication equipment.

The makerspace (i) runs courses and events in ‘making’ related topics, (ii) offers an open space where members of Re:Coded House’s community can access physical resources and the support of staff to realize their own projects, or (iii) offers services to the public, business and NGOs who wish to develop and make products or host tailored training courses.

The makerspace is equipped with 3D printers (plastic and rubber), CNC machines (for etching PCBs) and laser-cutters (to work with wood, acrylic and metal sheets), microprocessors and circuity parts and soldering materials, a sewing machine and traditional workshop tools. Makerspace staff combine technical knowledge with that of the design process and product development, from problem identification to finished product.

Behind the makerspace, Field Ready is a global non-governmental organisation that is dedicated to empowering people living in complex environments to make the things they need, where they need them, when they need them. Field Ready’s vision is to meet humanitarian and development goals through technology, innovative design and engaging people in new ways. We make useful items to solve problems locally using the latest technology, as well as traditional local manufacturing. Global partners include the UK, German and Australian Government, international NGOs and corporates such as CISCO and IBM. In Iraq we’re proud to be supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)’s ICT for Youth Program.
