FIG are well known for the fantastic work they do providing, classroom and playground equipment, books and stationery for local schools. Did you know that they also help and support individual children and families as well? FIG pays special school fees for an autistic
child who lives in the Fethiye area
FIG are supporting a family with medical costs for a child that will go blind if she doesn't receive an operation to remove a cyst from behind her eye. Can you even begin to get your head around the fact that there are children in the mountain villages who have never seen the sea or played on a beach? The look on the faces of these children is priceless! The FIG committee and volunteers work tirelessly to raise money to enable them to continue to help the children of Fethiye and the local area.

Despite being a bit quieter than normal, thanks to the weather forecast, we had another fun and successful coffee morning in Karma yesterday.
We also had our Spring raffle so are hugely grateful to all of the local businesses who donate prizes and thanks to everyone who bought tickets
With thanks to our volunteers, bakers, local businesses and wonderful supporters we raised 13,210tl which will enable us to continue helping children in our local community 😀

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our Spring coffee morning in Karma, Fethiye from 11am to 1pm
Not only will we have a fantastic selection of homemade sweet and savoury goodies to enjoy plus great drinks served by the Karma team but we'll also have our raffle giving you a chance to win lovely prizes
Our coffee morning is a great way to meet up with friends and meet new folks whilst helping us raise much needed funds to continue helping children in our local community

Coffee morning 5 February from 11 to 1 in Karma, Fethiye

Yet again this year our shop has been really busy pretty much every day. We have received a lot of very good quality donations and that has helped us raise a very healthy 1,152,566 TL in 2025.
Cash donations this year amounted to 34,400 TL.
Monthly interest earned in our Bank Account was 314,276.48 TL.
During the course of the year we held various fundraising events including coffee mornings held monthly at Karma Restaurant, quiz nights held at Ayla Bar in Ovacik, and a pool and Darts competition held by the McLean family in memory of their son Ben. The total raised at these events was 251,035 TL
All of the above raised the grand total of 1,752,277.48 TL in the calendar year of 2025.
Expenses
Our biggest expense is the running of the shop. The main cost as always is our rent. In 2025 we paid 264,000 TL in rent. Our tax bill for the shop was 64,000.00 TL and our utilities and other operating costs for the charity totalled 37,587.50 TL.
Expenditure
Our expenditure as usual was split mainly between school projects and medical assistance. This year we received applications for assistance from 10 schools for a variety of different projects. All of these were granted at a total cost of 1,084,240 TL.
We bought and distributed 30 gift cards from Alper Kirtasiye to enable schoolchildren to buy books and stationery. Each gift card was for 2000 TL
We also bought and distributed 20 gift cards for school uniforms. Again, each gift card was for 2000 TL.
Throughout the course of the year, we paid out 28 monthly bursaries at a total cost of 153,500 TL
We received 6 applications from families looking for assistance to cover the cost of various medical conditions. These included a cochlear implant, a prosthetic leg, speech therapy for a child with Down Syndrome, and monthly payments for children with autism and a child with SMA. All of these applications cost a total of 560,000 TL
Finally, we bought CPR dolls and a defibrillator to allow the health director to send people around the schools to teach the children how to use them and carry out CPR. These cost 38,000 TL
Our total spend on all of these projects was 1,835,740 TL
We would like to thank everyone for coming to our events and providing us with donations, all of our volunteers that work in the shop and organise and help at our fundraising events and all the businesses that have helped us in a variety of different ways. With your continued support we look forward to continuing to help children in our local community in 2026 and beyond.

We would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who helped make last night's quiz and fund raising event so successful.
Sincere thanks go to Appo and his Ayla bar team for hosting the evening, Dave Beckett our quiz master and everyone who donated prizes for our raffle. We are grateful to everyone who bought raffle tickets and came along to support us. Special thanks to Ann and Corrinne who organise these events for FIG
These evenings are always great fun and very successful and we couldn't do it without everyone's support. Thanks to all of you and our team who organise these events. We raised the fantastic total of 20,300tl plus £20

Fethiye International Group (FIG) was the first charity to be established in Fethiye to raise funds to help local children. The charity originally started as a book exchange and the sale of books from our shop is still a key element of what we do.
The money we raise is used to help with the welfare and educational needs of local children. We use the funds to cover a host of things – school transportation fees, university bursaries, school equipment and medical fees.
Our primary fund raising activity is our shop where we sell donated ladies, gents and children’s clothes and footwear plus books and household items – please remember us if you have anything you no longer need. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 11am to 3pm. Donations can be left at the shop during opening hours or we can arrange collection if necessary. Please message us on Facebook or email us if collection is required.
We hold craft fayres each year where local crafters come along to sell their goods. We also hold regular coffee mornings - a great opportunity to meet for a chat and buy some delicious home baked treats. FIG also accepts monetary donations at the shop or at any of our organised events.
FIG operates legally under FETAV (Fethiye Tourism, Promotion, Education, Culture and Environment Foundation).
