Yesterday, I had the joy and privilege of modeling for a former Inshirah Collective mentee—someone I’ve watched grow from a shy participant into a powerful professional.
She came to Inshirah as a refugee housewife with a quiet dream and a deep love for baking. Through our training program, she learned not only business and social media skills, but also hands-on sewing and zero-waste product making. When our center closed, she was momentarily adrift but not for long.
With the confidence she’d built at Inshirah, she landed a job at a restaurant, worked hard, and was soon invited into their culinary training program—this time as a trainer. Now she’s dreaming bigger, preparing to step out on her own, and building her brand. I was honored to model for her latest project - because a good mentor shows up in any role that’s needed.
After the shoot, we caught up and she told me, “Inshirah changed everything. I’m no longer afraid. I face problems head-on.” She thanked the program again and again. Now, we’re mapping out the next steps in her journey—and I can’t wait to share what comes next.
