Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO), assumed a leading role in socio-economic structuring and development of the city, is established in 1926 as a professional organization. Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO) is established in accordance with the provisions of law no 5174 and active under its implementation. Therefore, DTO is a semi-public organisation. vernmental organisation in Denizli has 13.000 registered members belong to various professional fields. Its administration is elected by its members. The Assembly is the highest organ of DTO. It is composed of 82 delegates elected from among DTO members for a period of four years. The enterprises registered with DTO are represented in 29 different sectoral committees. The Chamber has an assembly of 82 members, a Board of Directors of 11 members and finally a staff of 43 person. Besides the liabilities subject to its establishment and organizational law, Denizli Chamber of Commerce is running economic, social and cultural projects, by means of generating new ideas for the city and the Aegean region within the bounds of its possibilities. In this respect, Denizli Chamber of Commerce is successfully building bridges between private sector and public institutions by running several EU projects in cooperation with Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Universities and several national and international organizations.
