Who are we:
A non-profit civil society organization, established in Turkey at the end of 2020s, that includes two civil society organizations and a media institution.
“Takatuf” alliance is the first of its kind at the Syrian level through civil society alliance of civil society organizations with media institutions, which adopts and based it on feminist thought, as part of its basic endeavour. To
create bridges between civil society and the media.
“Takatuf” seeks to target women, journalists and women human rights defenders by building their capacities and providing them with the necessary media tools to make their voices heard.
“Takatuf” also seeks to make the media discourse more gender-sensitive by working to target journalists and build their capabilities and weight to enhance how a feminist and gender-sensitive media discourse, consider taking into account the positive discrimination of female and male-female journalists. Our vision:
Create coordination and unify efforts within civil society and media institutions to promote the rights of all social groups, especially marginalized groups, and raise awareness of how important to adopting gender mainstreaming in civil and media work. Adopting international decisions, especially those that are fair to marginalized groups, and promoting them within press coverage or civil work, taking into account the characteristics of individuals' diverse religious, ethnic, intellectual, sexual orientations, and political affiliations, whether in civil or media work.
