What has been taken from them is vast and devastating. Today, for many women and girls, even the idea of a future beyond the private sphere has been erased. Their voices are silenced, their presence made invisible, their ability to engage in dialogue, study, and collective life severely denied.
This is not only a restriction of rightsโit is the destruction of spaces where women could exist, speak, learn, and be heard. It is necessary to actively listen to them, to recognize their agency, and to give them responsibility and leadership in shaping responses to the crisis they are living.
Rebuilding also means restoring a sense of international community that does not look away.
Five years on, solidarity must mean responsibility: rebuilding spaces, amplifying silenced voices, and restoring the possibility of a shared international commitment to justice and dignity.

We also run a mentoring program for young women, supporting the next generation of leaders in building skills, confidence, and networks for the future.
