Turkiye Diyanet Foundation
The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation was established on 13 March 1975 by Dr. Lütfi Dogan who was the President of Religious Affairs at that time, and Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç and Yakup Ustun who were Vise Presidents of Religious Affairs, and Ahmet Uzunoglu who was the Director of Personal Rights. It has played an important role in reaching a wider audience of religious operations
and in the upbringing of future generations to take part in conducting these religious services. Turkey's Act of Kindness
The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation gives precedence to social peace, harmony and tranquility in the development of society’s religious, social, and cultural activities. Its mission is to achieve goodness on the earth and its vision is to become a foundation in humanitarian services in Turkey and in all seven continents. The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation in line with organizational goals of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, provides important support and aid to mosques, Quran courses, and meet the needs of the Muftiate and training centers. Our Foundation gives priority to educational and academic activities domestically and internationally. In Turkey and in different regions of the world it carries out charitable, social and cultural activities. Through such activities, precious rare gems like the Encyclopedia of Islam, and Islam with Hadiths are produced. The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation aspires to provide young pupils with a concrete religious education at all levels of schooling from Quran courses to Hafiz (Memorization) training, from High School to University and from a Masters certification up to a doctorate degree. Our Foundation offers scholarships to bright and successful students, provides dormitories for higher education students, student guesthouses and has opened a variety of prestige Colleges and reputable Universities. International Imam Hatip High School and International Guest Student Program in International Theology and Religious Studies offers students from 108 different countries to receive an education in Turkey. These programs helps reinforce relationships between nations. The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation extends a helping hand to millions of people regardless of their religion, race, color or gender, who live in different parts of the world that are faced with hunger and reside in war torn or natural disaster stricken regions. Our Foundation shares the joy and happiness of the Eid holiday in all seven continents with the Iftar program that offers free meals to communities during The Month of Ramadan (Fasting), and the sacrificing program which takes place on Eid Al-Adha (The Feast of Sacrifice). Since its inception, The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation continues to develop, improve and expand its scope of religious services. With the help and support of our people, it has become an international non-governmental, not-for-profit religious organization with operations in 108 countries and over 1,000 branches in Turkey. The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation motto is "The best of the people are those who are most beneficial to others" for the purpose of being in the service of humanity.
